Not excited for this and in fact I would’ve not even care if it wasn’t for the removal of the Water Strider’s water walking ability especially when Blizz could’ve just left it alone entirely.
People who do not already have this mount will naturally lol at all the angry players who do.
But I wonder what if Blizz offered Transmogrification, Repair, Auction House to the Mount Equipment list? Who would be left to laugh after that? Me! I would. 5 million gold for AH? HA! Instal Eqp. hahahaha!
Seriously doe Mount Equipment is something I never asked for. I don’t really care about it. I just ask that you leave my Water Strider alone.

I also asked for some variants like giving every other mount a skill to offset the Walter Strider’s clear advantage.

The only thing I don’t like is that, now, it’s only one attribute at a time and it costs with each and every change, on each and every character.
Yeah, I’ll get the water walking gear in mail, but when I don’t want to be dazed, I won’t be able to walk on water. Then, when I get to water, I’ll have to stop and equip that gear, then, when back to land, I’ll have to stop and reequip the anti-daze gear… all the while paying for each change. Are we getting 100 extra bag slots? Because it’s not out of the realm of possibility that I’d need to carry a ton of these in order to traverse the gamescape without constantly having to find an auction house.
Or, leave water walking as a native ability and allow equipment to give that attribute to every other mount.

Just play classes that can already walk on water and get to double dip. Not a gold sink then. If you can avoid the alts that is but once we can fly how bad is it really?

If there was a equipment slot to shoot other players off their flying mounts while I am on flying mount I would grind for weeks for that.
Not a 1 click ability, like something that requires aim so it’s not crazy easy but still so satisfying when you shoot a player down

When a MVP makes clear their own disappointment in a game change you know it’s not good.

My only problem with mount equipment is how it works but also maybe I don’t really understand it. I want to apply the mount equipment to specific mounts. I like using different mounts for different things/locations in game. But it sounds like you buy one equipment and it applies to all mounts until you change it, which I don’t like.

I’ve seen that but that doesn’t solve the problem that people will just use other equipment for everything and the strider for just water walking.
Maybe make it so the strider only gets water walking if you don’t have any equipment equipped? That may be a bit confusing though.

I kind of like that idea too. Might be confusing to start, but I don’t think it would be too hard to figure out. This would also be something the golems could have as well.
