I think at the point it becomes f2p, it’d be better off to sell that IP to another company that will actually give it some love.
With no Blizzcon this year and on 9.1, even if they released 9.2 in November/December, it would be over a year without content if they waited for 10.0. Also, with no Blizzcon to announce it with I highly highly doubt we won’t get a 9.3.
Now…it may be brand new employees who bring us 9.3 and 10.0, that is the interesting part.

WoW expansions historically last 17-26 Month with Shadowlands release on November 2019 this left ya with an estimate date of April 2022-January 2023… With this in mind we might get a 9.3 only if the later (january 2023) happend
It’s endearing that people really think that this is going to be wrapped up in a year or less. Especially when one considers that Blizzard is evidently opting for a full on jury trial.
Clearly a lot of people have never answered civil interrogatories, or been involved in a serious legal case of such a scale. Realistically, if any of us learn anything in the next 2 years, we will be fortunate and the courts will have been overclocking, in a way they have not since the late 90’s.
I say this because the entire judicial process was upended in California by Covid-19, and it has not recovered yet. Do you really think that California is going to fast-track one case, when they have a huge back-log of pending litigation already?
Blizzard will get their day in court. Soon™.
Go back to playing the game in the meanwhile, or don’t. Doesn’t matter to me either way. But hey, at least people stopped talking about playable High Elves. I’ll take that as a consolation prize.
