I actually read that they are going to level the playing field by introducing an Incubus as well.
I’d have to find the link but I think it was an icy veins article.
Update: From wowhead - " You’re going to see more of it soon in 9.1.5, and in updates to come—and where applicable, in WoW Classic as well. An example of a post-9.1.5 improvement is the creation of an incubus demon, which we can add to places where succubus models currently appear. We’re also planning to make the incubus a glyphable option for Warlocks when they summon that classification of demon."

Yeah that’s where I think Blizz is at, its not equality so much as a pendulum swing. I’d wager that if the picture would have been of two women in bikinis but obviously in a romantic relationship they would have called it empowering, especially if one of them looked feminine and the other one looked overly masculine. If it would have been a pair of guys like Flynn and Shaw in some speedos I am sure they would have hailed it as the greatest in game representation of that sort of thing to ever exist.
They struck out the name consort, did anyone tell them what it meant? It literally is not a bad thing in any way shape or form.
I want everyone to feel okay. Multiple people were visibly upset over this.

WoW as I know it will not be acceptable, no matter how e-motes are censored.
Is the China market likely to affect my game, here on the east coast , NA.?
Are the Europeans, South Americans, or Australians losing their e-motes?
There’s a separate version of the game for the Chinese servers, so unless you start to see skulls/bones being censored, the versions are still separate and you’re fine.

Excuse me for not feeling empathy towards someone who has spent the last hour dismissing anything and everything others have said.
Someone is manipulating others into believing they are the victim here and it’s clearly not the little gnome.

That’s not much different from how people should be. These people are just angry.
Edit: Also, the correct word they should have used is “sympathy,” not “empathy.”
When I’m angry, I just eat a lot of French friends.
