I tried to explain to you that the use of that term is sexist and some of the reason why we are at this point now in the game and that it seems men donât fully understand what we feel is sexist. Thank you, I know you mean well but this happens more often than not so I know theyâre all right about me. Iâm not a good person and itâs pretty obvious that I canât handle interacting with other people because of it.

I think that if the forums are affecting you this much, it may be time to step away. I took a few year break from the forums due to it negatively impacting my mental health. No forum is worth anyone thinking these things about themselves, regardless of whether or not people agree with each other. If you genuinely think those things about yourself, I hope you take a step away and take care of you first.

China will reportedly ban video games that donât promote âcorrect valuesâ and âaccurate understandingâ of the countryâs history and culture, a leaked internal document shows.
That includes a ban on any portrayal of âeffeminate males,â the promotion of same-sex relationships, and the showing of characters who have no âclear gender.â
The leaked document comes from a recent training session organized by Chinaâs state-backed gaming association. It addresses Beijingâs new plans to regulate the industry while advising game developers on how to produce content that can be approved for sale in the future.
The document was reviewed by the South China Morning Post and confirmed by several people familiar with the situation.
According to the memo â which was developed to help video game makers understand Chinaâs new approach to future releases â developers are instructed to treat video gaming as a new form of art, one thatâs no longer apolitical âpure entertainment.â
When MTG(Magic the gathering) went woke they literally redid artwork and names of 15 year old cards that werenât offensive to begin with.
Another factor that they did was having scantily shirtless males drawn(apparently thats fine) but all female characters drawn had to be either covered up or very masculine looking in appearance.
Yeah I have massive impulse control issues, as in a complete lack of them. Iâm honestly a broken person and everything theyâve said about me here is just factually true. Itâs not like theyâre going to get me to hurt myself or anything, but I definitely get affected. I donât know how to represent myself to start with so my original post here was bad and they took it the way people will take it and itâs only my fault for the way that happened.

Stop othering people. When you dismiss their concerns you are othering them. Try listening as if they were posting from a genuine place, or donât expect anyone to grant you the same courtesy.
I think that you acknowledging that your original post wasnât great is something a lot of people arenât willing to do. As a teacher, I read papers from my students that sometimes make me pause and realize that someone is not doing so well, and yours made me feel that way, so I just wanted to check in.
Instead of posting more and more here, I think getting a tea and stepping away for now may be the best for your mental health. No point in bullying yourself or anyone else. The forums donât matter enough for you to hate yourself over them.
