Still enjoying that the only arguments against LFR are either made up nonsense or fringe cases being held as common place.
And it’s the same people making the same incorrect arguments they made against RDF.
Sorry, this was always going to be added, just as RDF was always going to be added.
“hyper gearing” with LFR gear? This is just made up nonsense.

Moist/LtDans posts about this are hilarious, as it’s coming from a guy who geared up spending hundreds of thousands of gold in GDKPs.
Yet LFR is somehow a problem?
Gatekeepers are gonna gatekeep. That’s what it boils down to.

if pugs for FL, which drops 378 in normal, were requiring 378 to join them then those same pugs will require 397 which is dropped from normal mode. which they won’t be able to get from LFR no matter how many items they win from it.
Any update when realms will be available again?
any updates on if stuff will actually be on the ptr when it comes up? Last night the announcement was made, that dungeons and normal ds would be available. That LFR would be a separate testing session. Upon logging in, NOTHING was available. Now, there isnt even a PTR server. For the first time I convinced my 10m to come help me test and this is what we get? But we got plunderstorm nonsense today LOL. Pick something to actually focus on. I’d rather not deal with the repeated fake news that gets all our hopes up.
Yeah I agree, I do not have the time to join a guild and raid at a set time every week. I will LOVE being able to queue for LFR!

It’s the RDF debate all over again.

No it’s not, it’s still requirement locked to your class. In Cata’s original system you could roll need on ANYTHING. a Hunter could need on a 2H Mace, a Prot Pally could need on a staff. I lost my first Gurthalak drop to a Druid who held it ransom to trade for Kiril
According to the original Raid Finder Q&A…
Q. How does loot distribution work?
A. All Raid Finder groups determine loot distribution using the “Need Before Greed” system. Unlike Dungeon Finder, players who are identified as rolling need on an item that fits their primary role will be given loot priority over those who play a different role.
This is the only thing that needs to be changed for LFR. Rolls should be restricted to your armor type and the weapons you can equip. A druid rolling on a 2h sword is ridiculous and shouldn’t be permitted.

To clarify how this worked.
Healer gear focused on healers, dps gear focused on dps, and tank gear focused on tanks.
It was very flawed and a dk could roll on dps cloth, leather, mail, plate, and weapons/trinkets even if they couldn’t equipt it, as a dps dk while still maintaining the “priority” on the roll.
Which is why i have said cata lfr was very flawed and needs to see some changes or it would be very toxic.

The retail loot rules work well and should be added to Cata.
I love how this entire community here already complete gave up on the idea of this dev’s getting away still with the BARE minimum when it comes to anything except sod.
I guess many people did find enjoyable communities that are the only reason why they stay subbed… otherwise in the current state no way this game is worth $15 a month in the state they are doing things since sod released.
And lfr will be added stop trying to force the same conversations… same yapping happened with dungeon finder back in wrath which I stand by it and say that it should have been added back on p1 not on the last phase.
It should have been. The lack of it contributed to people moving to megaservers.
But it was probably simpler for Blizz to just implement it at the same time it was originally. They would have had to tweak the emblem system otherwise. Same reason we’re getting lfr: it would require more work for them to remove it from a point where it existed.

Yes, and if you could read you would see that the system adds +100 to rolls to anyone that can use it. So if you’re a Hunter rolling on a 2H Mace, your max roll is 100, while a Warrior’s minimum roll would be 101. Therefore you will never win the mace unless no one else rolls on it. Same with Prot pally and staff.
Good thing yall thought to add the DTR to the vendor when even my rat alt has it but no Sulfuras on vendor when none of my 2handed classes have it. /clap
Any plans to have the LFR working this first test weekend? You know, the 1 of 2 tests you’re going to have?
Blizzard needs to address more pressing issues such as the Spine encounter being bugged and unkillable, preventing Deathwing pulls from being attempted, or the fact that Ultraxion is bugged. Although they added a temporary fix (requiring players to obtain an item from a vendor and then keybind it), one of the bugs that has been present since Beta remains in the game. If raiders are unable to clear the raid, why would Blizzard allow testing on LFR when the raid cannot be cleared?
