The case for Ignore Pain in pvp

Hi! looking for opinions but in my short stent of playing retail i’ve noticed rage is a non issue, you’re always near cap along with a way to dump. Ignore pain was a great inclusion in shadowlands and should be brought back to arms in dragonflight. It fills the rage dump need along with providing damage reduction to a low healing class (not fury). If you have to balance arms around this change otherwise I feel the trade off is worth including this spell back in the rotation. Thanks!

Hard sell, probably never gonna happen. I rather they just revert D stance nerfs. It’s kinda pointless to use with 10% reduction and 20% penalty to damage. Like no thanks. I’ll just do damage instead and never use it.

With Fury just getting a nerf to its sustain (and its MS getting nerfed quite severely), I suppose it could come back in some form for it.

Arms needs it more, but I’d advocate for the previous Defensive Stance instead, since the spec’s sustain is weak, and it suffers taking focus fire more than Fury right now.

Battle Stance is significantly better to sit in than Defensive Stance currently. Reverting Defensive Stance to 20/20 would actually make it useful again, instead of being an “I lose” button which it is at this moment.

I was out of the loop on the pre patch and paid no attention to the D Stance situation. Sad to see they left it where it is. Blizzard took the laziest and dumbest way to change Arms PvP in SL.

It just needs to be 10-20% reduction but HAS TO BE only 10% negative to damage. No one takes a massive hit to damage like warrior does by going defensive. 20% is too much and just doesn’t work. Especially since Warriors don’t have S tier damage either so 20% less just means train the warrior.

If a Warrior goes D stance it’s a giant red flag that the Warrior isn’t a threat anymore and to train him even more!! You just become a target dummy if you can’t do damage.

I’ve tried explaining this since people don’t understand why Prot/Tanks needs to do damage but applies to everyone. If you aren’t a threat you are a target dummy in PvP. Period.

The defensive stance nerf makes even less sense when you consider talents like fueled by violence and leeching strikes, 20% less selfhealing from deep wounds and leech for just 10% dmg reduction is hardly a good trade.

Yea I won’t use D stance even if being trained. It’s a worthless ability. Midaswell just remove it from the game. It’s only a negative. I rather go down swinging and being a threat offensively. If you enter D stance the outcome is only to the downside.

Not sure how the Devs don’t see this.

When was MS nerfed? It was buffed fairly recently

I said Fury’s MS got nerfed; Slaughterhouse is getting wrecked this Tuesday.

ohhhh ms effect, gotcha

And I’m glad for it.

I don’t want Ignore Pain for Arms due to not matching the spec fantasy. DS being made useful would be a better solution.
