Why do we only have like 3 or 4 hours worth of content at the start of the season. Campaign, timegated…kk ill do m0…did them, now they offer nothing. Kk, do delves, did them to 11 and capped, thry also offer nothing that inwould ever be able to use. I dont wanna mess around with alts…my main is capped and locked on m0s. Theres…not a single reason for me to play. Its two days into the season. This just feels really stupid…there should be no cap what difference does it make if i want to collect a million crests asap…honestly its just blatent timegating. Very frustrating. I had a very lousy day… i sit down to play and it just got worse. Maybe im being dumb but…seriously does anyone actually prefer this style of hurry up and wait gaming?

It’s a week to make sure people don’t feel rushed and can complete the stuff at their own pace

I played for a few hours on Tuesdays night and then a couple today. Thats literally it.

I’ll tell you straight from a matter of perspective. Playing five hours today increased my item level to 655. I can now go back to the two previous seasons and do any open world content that I missed because I was under geared. I can also do the treasure hunting in the current area and try to continue to push my renown past level eight. And since I am at a particular item level, it would now be easy for me to jump in and run heroic and mythic starting next week. And since there are a few more days until all of that unlocks, I have plenty of time to take the other two characters that I actually play and get them up to the same level. There’s always plenty of stuff to do in this game, but if you think there’s nothing to do then, you are probably just looking for a reason to unsubscribe. I would say stop looking for a reason and just do it.

I want to unsub because i finished the content in a handful of hours? Thats an interesting take. Ive got everything i wanted from previous expansions. I dont need gold…i have plenty for the season. My main is at 682…i can do any content in the game…but, i have…why in the world would any sane person want to go do old content on day 2 of a new season? No thanks…id rather be able to progress my character in a meaningful way. 655 was literally season one gs. Have fun with that.

I don’t know about you, but I only play this game for the rewards. I don’t care about making a character, or combat, or progression; I just want a constant flow of dopamine so I don’t end up blowing all of my money at the casino. Pull that lever, son!

Lol. I just find it odd and frustrating. Like…hey everyone heres new stuff. But you’re only allowed access to like 5% of it a week for awhile. Like…its just dumb. Theres almost no incentive to playing at all until like a couple months in. I just dont even see the point atm. Which…feels bad. Just…my opinion i guess. Dont really think im alone here though.

Like another poster said already, but more eloquently, lots of players with situations counter to your own do appreciate not being left too far behind in week one. Can we at least agree that that might suck too?

Of course that woukd suck but thats not my fault. I cant help that those people get “left behind”. I didnt even try very hard… all i did was follow the quest line, qued for 8 m0s and did the delves. It…really wasnt hard or challenging nor did it take more than a few, maybe 5 hours total. Lets be generous and call it 8 hours over two days. I mean, im not some super good player with tricks or anything. We all have access to the same mechanics if some people cant do it, how is that then a reason to simply full stop the progress of those who can…just, really struggling to find logic there.
Yeah, but unless you were behind last season like me with lfr gear and half upgraded champion gear, there is nothing to do if you cleared out the mythic dungeons and got your cloak. Very limited world content in the new zone, so people are crowding into old world content to have something to do.

It’s probably more about perception than logic in this instance. The good news is that in 5 days, it’s off to the races.

Isnt that all the more reason to be giving out a ton of new stuff faster at the start of a new season? So people can get carried or just catch up to a level playing field faster?

Not to mention that having a week of downtime can be a good thing.
Trust me. The forums would be exploding with sheer rage right now if the servers were unstable and folks couldn’t make meaningful progress, and I’m sure there would be plenty of comments about the RtWF not being fair if one server that was home to a guild with a strong chance to be first was completely borked while another guild elsewhere pulled ahead.
The first week SHOULD be like this to help iron out server instability and unexpected issues. That way if things are unstable, folks aren’t getting worked up about “falling behind” while things are fixed.
So…in other words rather than actually beta testing their product they wanna allow us to pay them to do it for them? Meh…im clearly a bad mood. Im gonna bow out of my own post. Lol. Be well everyone.
I’ve said it countless times before but ill say it again, wow is best played at the tail end of expansions or patches, that is when everything is available and most timegates are removed.
Playing at the start is pointless if you want to be able to do content without restriction. It is what it is.
And I do agree its trash design but we can’t do much about it besides vote with our wallet, if we don’t like it dont pay for their products.
