I did the call of the worldsoul weekly after reset today but now it is offering it to me again.

Same. I did it earlier today and received my chest, got the half spark, made my spark, now I login later and I can pick the quest up again.

Same here. I completed the first time this week and after a while, it was offering to me again. Firstly, I thought it was a “catch up” quest for my character for a weekly I haven’t done before, so I accepted it and completed it again, and now it’s offering it for the third time.

I have the same issue, and i did it twice to check if it allows me, and it’s giving me the quest again.

Yeah and now they are beginning ban waves on anyone who ran it more than once in a week.
It was offered twice on only some of my characters.

It appears you don’t get sparks if you do it again, so I can’t really see Blizzard caring. They don’t typically ban people for innocuous issues caused by a bug of their own making, they just fix it. Worst case – if it did give more unintended sparks – they’d just take them away.
I am pretty sure I did it at least twice. I wasn’t sure which alts I had completed it on and which I hadn’t, so I redid it thinking I hadn’t done it yet. The chest didn’t have a spark fragment in it or restored keys or anything valuable, just a few of the low level crests. Double checked and I’m not behind or ahead on Sparks, so I definitely did it twice, but the second time didn’t reward anything worth the effort.
So, yeah, it might be a bug that you can do it multiple times but I’m also pretty sure it’s not worth the effort to do so anyway, even if it is intended to be repeatable.
