I am certainly aware that multiple threads already exist addressing the massive demand for a re-release of TBC, however I still felt compelled to create another one.
I know that blizzard has sent out player -surveys to select players inquiring into player preference on a method of classic TBC release; this is an encouraging sign, to say the least.
I, on the other hand, did not receive such a survey. Therefore, I felt compelled to express my opinion on the forum with the hopes that the blizzard GMs can add another tally mark on their list of players begging for a re-release of The Burning Crusade.
Iāve played WoW since 2006 and have literally grown up with it; unfortunately, we have grown apart. I think it is extremely evident that retail wow has lost its luster and the player-base that is loyal to the core of WoW is drifting away. Classic wow has proven evident that the loyal fan-base still exists, and will gladly fork up the 15 dollars a month to resubscribe to what made them fall in love with the game in the first place.
Classic wow, or vanilla, is certainly not perfect. I believe (and it is my own personal opinion) that the burning crusade, followed by WoTLK (to a lesser extent) built on the foundation laid by classic, and near-perfected it. Every aspect of the game saw drastic improvements and boy was the WoW community hooked. Yes, there are those that are die-hard vanilla enthusiasts who couldnāt care less about a TBC re-release, but I believe they are a minority. If my social interactions within the game hold any value whatsoever, I am not alone in believing that TBC is the more desired end state. Classic is awesome, donāt get me wrong, but without going into a 15 page essay laying out every point as to why I believe TBC is better, Iāll summarize it as this: TBC is the pinnacle of WoW play.
Blizzard didnāt ask my opinion, but Iāll finish with I do not care how you re release classic TBC. Whether you create new servers where all players start at level 1, whether you update current classic servers, or whether you give players the option- I honestly do not care. As long as a re-release of TBC comes to fruition (however, I do like the idea of new servers with all players at level 1- an experience that would be new and unlike the original expansion release).
At the end of the day, I am begging, pleading, PLEASE re-release The Burning Crusade. Wow classic has only given me the itch for TBC even more. Thanks for the consideration, and I am extremely hopeful and optimistic that an announcement is coming soon
