I have done so many runs, and yet I have gotten 0 of these mounts.
I am over it. 5% isn’t much better then 1% when you getting 0% lol
Done wasting my time.

Nope, it’s just a slight increase.
I got my Scythe of the Unmaker and I’m going to farm for transmog: the real Bounty to this buff!
That’s what I swapped to doing. Specifically focusing on older raids like BT that only drop 2 pieces normally. Using the extra drops to help get the sets
Since the buff I have gotten
1: Onyxian Drake
2: Drake of the North Wind
3: Fiendish Hellfire Core
4: Reigns of the Raven Lord
5: Armored Razzashi Raptor
6: Swift Zulian Panther
7:Underrot Crawg
8: Midnight.
Just need to make sure you are doing it at the right level and those that can be done at multiple levels you do them all.
For example the GMOD can be dropped by Jaina in Dazar’alor in LFR and of Mechtorq in Norm , Heroic and Mythic so run all of them to increase chance.
Dungeons like Stone Core or Vortex Pinacle they can drop in either normal or heroic .
Also if you have multiple toons that can solo the legacy content use them also .
The more you run during this time the better the chances . ALso this a month long event and it is an increase to a 5% chance . They never said it would be a 100% drop on mounts .
People freaking out week 1 and you still have 3 more weeks and probably another event next year smh…
I tried to do runs with friends and all it did was increase the amount of times I needed to run it due to my laughably low RNG. So I’m going solo now.
Regardless of how few drops I’m getting, it’s worth noting how alive the world feels with nearly every old zone and raid clustered with players.
Is this event great for me? Naw, but it’s fun and seeing people in the world feels good. Too bad they didn’t save this for housing to get everyone out and about once everyone theoretically shutters themselves in.
Supposedly Flametalon of Alysrazor (and a few others) is already a 5% chance all the time. I know people who have had it forever and still see it drop often. I only just recently got it a few months ago after years of attempts. A 5% chance really isn’t that much, and it’s not like your attempts stack.
I got a few mounts but it’s hard to tell if I got them because I’ve been farming them forever and they just dropped naturally or if it’s due to the buff.
Depends on your point of view. It’s five times more chance to drop. But still a 95% chance to not drop.
Ya pretty much, on top of the fact the mounts arent going anywhere
After years… YEARS of looking for that damn charger… After 30 runs on this hunter just this week.
I, on a whim, tossed my low level neglected DK in the for a laugh.
And the Baron FINALLY coughed up!
You mean all i had to do was toss a fellow death knight at him this whole time??
I don’t even care about any of the other mounts. I’ll be over in the corner being happy.
It could be worse.
One of my guildies says he feels left out of the buff because he already has all these mounts.
Yeah, random is random. I’ve given the baron mount away a half dozen times just on alts I was leveling, not even farming. One time everyone left before I could ask if anyone wanted it.
I’ve gotten Mim’s Head, Pureblood Fire Hawk, GMOD, and Drake of the umm…Directional Wind from Alakir.
The buff be buffin
Pureblood is a Lie! It doesnt exsist!
What I haven’t seen yet are the rare Legion transmogs (Scyth of the Unmaker, Taschaleth, Nightmare shoulders).
Kind of getting a little skeptical about those
I think this buff is a lei as I threw 40 Alts at Kael’thas Sunstrider to get Ashes and not 1 single drop from him. I am going to do the same this week after resets today and maybe I can twist his arm for it
Correct.
That being said, Blizzard should have been aware that the vast majority of their players are barely literate, let alone capable of understanding statistics. The event should have been the mog buff and then tokens upon legacy raid completion that can be used to directly purchase the rare items people are farming. Not 1:1, but enough that an average player could bang out one per week, while turbo farmers could run every difficulty of every raid and come away with a few more.
Instead of people whinging about drop rates we’d have people choosing their runs based on the mogs they want first, which they’re almost definitely going to get, and for a normal chance at whatever mounts, which they might get but which they will be extra ok with not getting. People would still be crawling all over every legacy raid portal and it would still be bustling the entire month.
But hey, what do I know? I was raised with brothers.
Well I definitely feel it worked. Got the main hand war glaive after so long now I got the mog. Quite happy.
Will still have to see how the mount hunting goes. Been trying to play catch up on alts.
Got my hunter, DK, and rogue to 660 so now for this DH and maybe my guardian druid and prot pally next.
Though I want to enjoy DH for a while, Ive not really given the class a fair chance since its release.
I’ve been actively farming Sharkbait and Tomb Stalker for years and I finally got them last week. I also got the blue proto drake, hellfire infernal and the zereth overseer over the weekend.
Yesterday I realized I had skipped over an alt when doing my farming so I took him straight to BFA and in one singular mythic run I got both the GMOD and the Glacial Tidestorm.
I realize and understand that’s pretty lucky and I know others aren’t as lucky right now, but from my perspective this event is working as intended. Hopefully with the three weeks or so we have left people won’t give up and will keep going for and eventually get what they want!!
