There are so many mage bots doing the same things over and over again. When i see them i bring a whole bunch of mobs to them, and they frost nova, and coc, getting all the aggro and dying.
We need AI to sort these bots out. If a player reports someone botting, AI will immediately do a review of the last 30 fights that player was in, then maybe a temp ban with a gm review if the AI suspects botting.
I followed one to booty bay and it would immediately attack my totems placed down causing guard aggro.
Here is the bot rotation upon spawning from a death.
- Conjure food/water and eat/drink to full.
- Conjure mana agate
- Drink to full.
- Cast fireball or frostbolt.
- Mob comes a couple feet to it, frost nova.
- If 2 or 3 mobs, will cone of cold, or attempt to sheep one.
- If attacked with spells instantly counterspell that mob or player.
If any hostile mobs get close it to it, it will immediately frost nova, and cone of cold, even if those mobs are attacking a member of the enemy faction. Something needs to be done I killed 30 alliance mage bots in stv today. thirty.

Morthia- maybe it would be better to tell players not to buy gold, no market equals no bots. I am all for a perma ban first time caught buying gold

Man, botting is out of control everywhere. Try buying a 5080.
But seriously if you want to stop botting your unironic best bet is begging Trump to either make it illegal to use the Internet without id verification, or build up a national firewall like China. Itâs that big of an issue.
Like the same law red states use for the hub needs to be applied internet wide to fix this.
Go on any social media site and scroll, look at all the bots commenting on AI photos of Elon Musk. Itâs peak bot apocalypse.
Just keep killing them until they all report you and get you banned
Have spent hours killing the same bots over and over, never banned and know a lot of other people that have done the same to the point the farmers have begged them to stop and even tried to pay them. So canât say it hasnât happened but if youâre on a PvP server, bots are fair game, there is nothing that says they canât be killed as many times as you like. I suspect the âbanningâ is more a rumor the gold farmers started trying to scare people, so they get left alone.
On EU HC, they have even gone as far as perma killing bots, they have it all on YouTube, and none have ever been banned.

blizzard isnât going to do anything about bots
the only solution is for players to stop RMT. good luck with that
OP is trying so hard to be clever.
This is the only real solution presented.
Lmao yeah thatâll work. Problem solved folks, everyone pack it up, weâre done here.
Yeah, I do tend to assume any non-60 Mage that doesnât have what would pass as a âreal nameâ is a bot now. Itâs not âQqfvbbfzâ bad, but, like âGhiopmâ is pretty suspect.
The bot situation is under blizzard control.
Did You understand?
Under blizzard control.
What sword I mean bot? ~ blizzard
I thought the botting thing outside of the vendor camping bots was being overblown.
I donât think that anymore. Ive been put trying to farm essences for my Robe of the Archmage last night and a bit tonight.
In Felwood, as we speak, there are 3 paladin bots farming the toxic horrors. Same guy, 3 bots. Similar names and parked in a way they overlap.
They instantly respond to spawns. Kill. Run back to their starting point. Same routine. Same way pointsâŚetc.
Area full of pissed people trying to quest and me trying to get essence of water.
These bots react insantly to spawns.
How in the hell are they not being dealt with? They are so obvious.
