The biggest problem with wow

The biggest problem with wow, in my eyes, are the fans who defend every single decision blizz makes, these days its less rampant, but I remember a few years ago legit criticism would be drowned out by people who thought the company was still the same one who dropped WC3.

I assume its people who think if we criticize wow other players they wont play because they cannot form their own opinions, so if they say the game is good, people will actually think the game is good.

I blame T&E.

I think the defenders are a natural reaction to 90% of forum threads and posters nothing but complainers attacking the game the devs every little thing that doesn’t appeal to their entitlement.

I respectfully disagree. I will admit that yes, i am a fan who defends Blizzard occasionally because I truly believe they are a great company who wants to make great things.

That being said, I think the biggest problem with WoW are the self proclaimed “veterans.”

The players who hate everything new to wow. Players who hate everything that isn’t vanilla, then hates the classic server option. Too many players who think they’re so cool because they’ve been here a few years. Too many players who think they are entitled to criticize Blizzard for everything just because they liked it better years ago.

I like the veteran players who dont have a stick up their rear. I like hearing players talk about how different WoW used to be. It’s interesting.

I can’t stand players who come to the forums just to complain about a new feature Blizzard added that they havent even tried out.

So OP, I respectfully disagree with you. The problem is not with players who defend Blizzard, but rather with toxic players who get off to starting fights.

Apologists and shills will always exist. They do provide some apt laughs and amusement due to the fallacious and nauseating nature of their posts.

It all works out

The fans and their constant, repeated hate.

Pretty much this basically no one is saying its perfect but it isn’t half as back as people act like it is for the most part

because gamers are getting tired of all the whining you do over every little thing that destroys a game both financially and as a reputation, need to just shut up and play the game or move to a different game if you don’t like how it plays

Hmm yes, quite. They do have a lot of power in the Blizzard ranks… with their direct line to J. Allen Brack. I know that Ion doesn’t make a move without my approval.

He’s not wrong. People going out of their way to defend blatantly deceptive and predatory practices are making the problem worse by emboldening the people who make these decisions in the first place.

Right, right. The devs base all their decisions on forum posts. Every great business does that.

You’re deliberately missing the point.

And what’s the new point, according to you?

You’re half-right. It is the people who defend every decision they make (stuff like gating flying for 6+ months, XP nerfs in 7.3.5, races being locked behind rep). Those are especially bad because the last two were so bad they’ve seen drastic modifications recently, making the people who defended the terrible changes look like idiots.

The other half are the people who whine and complain incessantly about anything and everything. They’re usually quick to throw the term shill and white knight around at any defense of a feature. Someone called me a white knight yesterday or the day before which was hilarious. Then again, I think that was the same person who threatened to beat me up irl.
