I’m actively participating in the event, Mining the nodes around the tent while waiting for a task etc… this has happened to me and a friend multiple times, it doesn’t happen every time, it seems to happen only when there is a lot of people at the event, but i do not receive a task, and I THINK if you do not complete a task, there is some sort of “anti AFK” system built in to prevent people from getting free credit for afking. However this system is clearly broken because I am not AFK and i am actively trying to participate and receiving ZERO TASKS and ZERO CREDIT. The only credit i can get is from killing the boss at the end.

This is happening to me a lot today. I’m digging, doing tasks, and not getting any tomes at all. It’s happening for most digs that I try today.
What a waste of time.

Also the interact key doesn’t work.
I want my time back that has been wasted by trying to get this broken"event" to work.

This was happening to me too. It took me awhile to notice, but I had been marked ‘afk’ because I was camping the spot and going afk in between events. Even though I was moving around and participating in the event, the afk status was not going away. I typed /afk into chat and suddenly, I started receiving the tomes again. Maybe something worth checking the next time you notice you aren’t getting them!

Just tried and cant even get any progression just stuck at 0%. Who actually thought players would enjoy this as a feature?

The entirety of the event remained bugged and waiting for instructions. With 1 minute remaining it finally tasked me, with it then immediately swapping back to “Stand near Eadweard Dalyngrigge…”
This bug seems to have come back, if it was ever fixed.
At a dig, several people (myself included) not seeing a progress bar, not receiving any tasks, not receiving any tomes, and not even seeing a timer for the event. Also ended without spawning the mob so couldn’t finish the weekly.
