That’s exactly what’s actually going to happen though. What do you expect? Half the people demanding Beta are the ones who do that stuff.

what are things
To be fair, the beta tests are mostly there just to test capacity and if anything goes wonky when too many people are on.
The public builds are builds that QA testers had weeks-months ago that have mostly had everything reported already.

they offer a free beta invite, personally sent from Jeff Kaplan as a “thanks for coming!”
That’s what it feels like. I’ve made it into nearly evert beta and all I’ve found is typos that I report…
and still end up in-game

God, same. I really wanna get my hands on the new profession systems.
It’s still called Alpha in my launcher.
I want to test the customizations.
They’re pushing another alpha build today. Unlikely a beta goes out this week.

I said it seems unlikely. Also, things sometimes get pushed back. It seems odd to push yet another alpha build that will just be overshadowed by a beta build the same week. But Blizzard is strange that way, so maybe it will be pushed later. But at this point, I would suspect a Friday / weekend beta push, with invites probably going out the same time.
If it got delayed til Monday, that wouldn’t be a shock either (and technically still keep their word because their week begins on Tuesdays).
The ingame build ID lists it as Beta build, the launcher needs updating is all to list it as such probably.
