Ya such a fantastic quest chain. I’m not sure why blizzard moved away from incredibly long engaging quest chains.
That and the drowned dwarf under the span were the saddest for sure.
Too many to list to be honest,
Cop out i know. but waay too many are my favorite.
I would be remiss, if I didn’t mention the Rhok’delar quest.
All of Duskwood’s questlines from hermit to Mor Ladim. Duskwoods ambience can’t be beat
Then the Onyxia chain Alliance side
Any quest that sends you to talk to the guy behind you. Talk about instant gratification.
I always liked the quest to escort Arko’narin from the cave in Felwood.
My first thought was the Tirion quest chain in the Plaguelands.
Since it’s already gotten it’s due respect in this thread I’ll give my honorable mention to the rogue poisons quest in the northern Barrens. It’s flavorful and challenging. It forces you to use your entire bag of tricks.
The druid form quests.
It wont be as hard now for me, but I remember being terrified of the swim form quest and being afraid of dying while swimming.
I just wish all the forms had the quests we were supposed to have had.
Horde rogue poison quest line, made me feel like an actual rogue.
I remember doing warrior quests in tanaris, durotar and somewhere else…think thats when I got new stances and a new weapon
Best time in questing ever.
I forget the name but the one in Duskwood where you unleash Stitches. Nothing makes people run for the hills like seeing Stitches bounding down the road.
Oh and pretty much all the quests in loch modan and duskwood. Quite memorable
Forging the Quel’serrar. That was super fun and the fact you had to be hit by a deep breathe from onyxia to complete the chain was genius.
Sprite Darter Hatchling quests because Sprite Darter Hatchling.
After that, Mor’ladrim. Visiting the graves of him and his family for the first time? Serious feels.
YES, Sully Balloo’s Letter: https://classicdb.ch/?quest=637
Such a great quest chain.
I only did it many, many years after Vanilla, but the Thunderfury quest is cool. Maybe not the most complicated or hilarious. But I can only imagine doing it in Vanilla must have felt so utterly epic. Thunderaan would have been intimating back then.
I liked the one in the crossroads, where you had to find the murdered spouse of a tauren there. Altually its probably the only one i remember…
If I recall correctly, the quest chain in Thousand Needles where you get sent to Stonetalon to answer a question that one of the answers were Nefarius? And if you answered wrong you got teleported to the crossroads and have to walk all the way back. It wasn’t that particular part but the quests involving the leap of faith, and what have you, were probably my favorite quests. I don’t remember what those chain of quests were called though.
