The best part about Legion Remix

I actually feel like I can do all of the content in it

I feel like I can actually realistically do all levels of dungeons and normal/heroic dungeons aren’t mostly just 1 overpowered person soloing it and they still need me to actually heal them (for now anyway)

I can actually do the raids! I haven’t felt like I can raid in retail for many expansions now outside of just LFR. It’s so nice to just sign up in the group finder to do a raid really quick and easily.

This game is so much better when the majority of end game content is actually accessible for most people to do. I’m having a hard time going back to retail just to get my 8 delves done for the week because I actually get to do stuff outside of just delves in Legion Remix.

It certainly is a blast. I do wonder why they’re gating the content though. It seems like by the time even phase two is released we’re just going to have raids full of maxed out characters.

Anyone can get into any raid or M+ they want to do if they want to work towards it. But if you’re signing up for other people’s runs, you’re going to feel the pressure of not being good enough.

Some groups are declining for the same reasons in Lemix as they do in Retail. That’s the nature of this playerbase.

The difference is that Lemix is a meme mode and you can get OP enough to roflstomp it all, including Mythic. I don’t think that’s something we should advocate for in Retail though.

I still feel like there is a limit to what I can realistically do as an average skill player. I’m not going to be doing the highest tier of content in Legion Remix by any means.

But I actually get do to keys. I actually get to see the raid.

These are things I can’t do in retail as an average player. Whether it’s because it’s too difficult and complicated, stressful, or too hard to schedule to sit for 2-4 hours straight to raid.

It’s crazy, when people actually get to see the majority of content devs spend a lot of time working on, the game is more enjoyable to play.

I have heard people complain that “leveling is as slow as vanilla” which I found really funny.

This is why we now have Follower Dungeons and Delves that give us access to the Great Vault. We also have Story Mode Raids for the final raid boss. Now all that is needed is extending that to all the raid bosses.

Not sure what you’re raiding experience in Remix has been like, but, so far, what I’ve been experiencing (and also in MoP remix) is not what I would consider raiding.

Yea, you get to see the sights and see the bosses, but Remix is a murderball zergfest. I haven’t done Heroic or Mythic in remix, but in MoP, the high end raids were pretty much mechanic free.

And that’s what raids should be about, mastering the mechanics vs just murdering the boss before the adds spawned (and ignored) in Phase 2 become a problem.

It should be about the dance, avoiding the fire, getting to the right platform, etc.

The fights I’ve see so far bear little resemblance to what I remember during Legion.

So, I’m glad you’re actually in raids having fun, and having success Legion, I just don’t know if I’d actually consider it raiding.

I mean you can get carried in retail dungeons/raids as well

I think end game content should be tailored to the average skill player without the need for them to be carried

Do not conflate “average skill” with “unwilling to learn.”

Modern Normal raids are entirely doable for an average skilled player. Heck, they’re entirely doable for less than average players. You won’t actually start hitting walls until Heroic, and Mythic is the only difficulty that will wall people from the first boss.

That’s why I also mentioned:

That’s probably the biggest factor for the average player not raiding.
