The quest ‘The Best Around’, part of the Operation: Shieldwall questline in the Mists of Pandaria campaign, is unable to be completed due to the following step not resolving:
- 0/1 Take the portal to Deeprun Tram
Entering the Deeprun Tram through the tunnel (and portal within) does not resolve that step, and the quest NPC will not accept the quest turn-in without it, meaning progress on the entire questline is halted essentially right at its beginning. No portal to the Deeprun Tram exists in Lion’s Landing.

… same problem. And I was finally able to run that A Little Patience scenario …
EDIT: Allegedly, this is because the Remix event requires that special portal, since Timerunning characters can’t access Stormwind, and it would appear that this quest requirement has leaked over to retail. Let’s hope the upcoming maintenance hour has a solution included for retail as well.
EDIT 2: … it hasn’t. But then again, the Remix version of the quest is still listed as an official issue that they’re Working On.
I still can’t do this quest. I have the same issue with the “Take the portal to Deeprun Tram”. Please fi this so I can eventually get to the “Thunder Calls” quest…

Managed to figure it out!
You need to buy the Portal to Stormwind Reagent for 5 [Domination Point Commission]
Easiest place to get it is the oilfields to the west of the camp.
After that, the portal spawns across where the admiral is and you go to Stormwind and it marks that part of the quest complete.

2/22/25 This is still a problem. How do you even Portal to Deeprun Tram? There are at most 20 broken quests and they haven’t been fixed with any updates. So, Blizz needs to fix them before there is a mass span broken quest report
