The Battle for Lordaeron IS GONE

With Patch 9.0.1, time in Azeroth has moved forward.

As a result, the Battle for Lordaeron is considered completed, and the quest to participate in the battle has been removed.

However, characters can speak to Archivist Thomas in Stormwind’s Mage Quarter, or Archivist Sylvia in the Valley of Wisdom, to relive the battle.

Azeroth has moved forward yet the other expansion intros are still playable. What kind of decision was that? Imagine seeing all those BfA cinematics about the Battle for Lordaeron and not being able to play it.

Hrmm probably a sign BfA is over. Makes sense to be honest.

2 years to have played it. Many believe that it was long enough.

To be honest I thought it was a prepatch only event until someone else pointed out to me recently that it wasn’t. I won’t miss it.

Yes, but they did not remove the other questlines. I can do the scenario but I still can’t do the questline when I should, before going to Zandalar, just like the other expansions.

A lot of content quests have been removed. There were, for example, a fair few quests in Silithus where we had to run around killing and collecting, where we flew up to ships sitting next to the sword, etc. All of the Silithus quests were removed.

Nobody does it anymore, and it kinda sucks when it’s just you and a dozen NPCs, ergo it’s shunted to “optional” status. They could do the same with Legion’s intro, to be honest.

They wanted to get people more up to date when they come in from Exile’s Reach, to make it a better flow. So instead of the two catalysts happening, now it’s just “tensions are high, we need to get to Kul Tiras/Zandalar to help out.”

At least they put that somewhere for people to do. The burning of Teldrassil was just completely deleted. The main reason we started all of this… and it’s just gone from the game.

Now this one is a crime. It should also be in the “you can do it if you want to go out of your way for it” category, regardless of removing the mount rewards.

Most people probably skipped them. I know I did. I loved it the first time around but it wasn’t really efficient for leveling alts… your 13th time around etc.

Except you can?

Not the first Battle for Lordaeron to be removed from the game. Enjoying being randomly villain batted despite previously established lore in the future Alliance!

I’m pretty sure there is a worgen you can talk to in mage district to replay it. I’m not sure what the Horde equivalent is though.

Same reasons they removed the Battle of Wrathgate/Undercity. It’s annoying when they remove content, imo.

You can still go through it I just think it won’t be in the questline which is like skipping which is already a thing… I don’t know why they made this update tbh…

Change that could to should in my book. I’d love to skip the legion intro and get right to my new garrison.

Wrathgate was awesome. No reason to delete it.

Teldrassil was epicly tragic. No reason to delete it.

Battle be for Lordaeron set up Saurfang’s rebellion. No reason to delete it.

They just take out their epic stuff now, sadly.

I dislike the removal of any important plots in the story, including pre-patch quests, and I disregard the people who say, “yOu hAd 2 YeArs tO pLaY iT nO eXcUsEs”

If they have to remove any quest rewards in order to put these quests back in the game, then so be it.
