The Battle for Broken Shore

I am finally backtracking to finish a few quests that I “untracked” during game play. One of these quest lines was the Battle for Broken Shore. I completed the two quests, “Legion: The Legion Returns” and “To Be Prepared”. I accepted “The Battle for Broken Shore”, and that was the quest I untracked.

The quest itself tells me to board a boat and talk to Captain Russo, but the only boat available at that spot is the boat to Vash’jir.

I abandoned the quest to try and pick it up again, but Stone Guard Mukar is not there. I can see the huge yellow exclamation point on my map (in Durotar, at the docks, with the zeppelin to Dragon Isles behind me), with the name of the quest visible.

What do I need to do to get them all appear again and do this quest line?

Thank you.

If you’re seeing the boat to Vashj’ir, it’s probably worth doing the into quests for that to see if it fixes your phasing. (See if there is an NPC inside the nearby tower with the quest for it. You can also try the Farseer NPC near the Cataclysm portals or the Warchief’s Command board.)

The BfA intro quests also mess up a whole lot of phasing. I’m not aware specifically with issues in the bay, but it’s another thing to try. (The starting quest for BfA will be on the Herald NPC next to the Warchief’s Command board.)

Also be aware that some of the BfA War Campaign will mess with Durotar phasing. So, if you’re far enough along in the Campaign to qualify for the final parts, go ahead and finish those up.

I am completely finished with Vash’jir as well as BfA. I’ve also done most of Legion except for Argus. Weirdly enough, I have done almost everything for Legion except the starting quest line. I also checked the Command Board, everything there is for something else.

If you’ve already done a bunch of Legion stuff, that is going to make things weirder.

One thing to try is talking to the Archivist NPC inside the Violet Citadel in Dalaran. They may have the quests you need for the intro.

If you’re eligible for Argus, you may need to do the intro for that, as it also has parts that are in the Bay and might mess with phasing.
