So, I noticed for the Benediction quest, the internet quotes a BRUTAL 2hr respawn time, but in classic the quest respawns every 15 minuets. Just wondering if anyone remembers it actually being 2hrs in vanilla, or was this something Blizzard changed?
Check the date on the quotes. We’re playing Classic on 1.12’s database. Anything before that patch’s release date is irrelevant despite still being “Vanilla”.
What’s your source on that?
My source is that I leveled a priest and did the quest, it took roughly 15 min for it to respawn upon failure.

Oh you’re saying now it’s 15 mins. I see. So what was your source on the 2 hour respawn in vanilla?
As Ashgar said, it may have been 2 hours in a previous vanilla patch. But most everything is 1.12 in Classic and anything that isn’t will be by phase 6.
Your thinking of the Cleaner. If the Cleaner intervenes it is a 15 min respawn. If you fail the old fashioned way it is two hours. I got mine last night and experienced both failures before getting it 
Yeah, for the 2hr number I’m referencing Icy veins, and various other wow resource sites.
BUT
This is correct I found a 1.12 post claiming that it got reduced to somewhere around 10 minuets.

It’s roughly 15 minutes whether the cleaner intervenes or not. Source: helped half a dozen priests in classic finish the quest with dozens of attempts. She has always respawned within 15-20 minutes regardless of the circumstances of the failure.

Weird, I remember when I got my Eye I was leaving in 3 hours to catch a flight. Had to get it before I left lol… failed a few times but never procced a 2 hour respawn. I was under the impression it was 2 hours before I did it as well.
