Hello fellow Horde loyalists. Use this thread to explain to anyone why you hate Baine so much. I am happy and eager to see if we all can come together in our united distain for that character. To hell with Baine. May his treason pave the road to his death one day when he won’t be able any more to betray his own faction for a fragile peace with the alliance.

He just feels so useless. Like in BFA in saved Jaina’s brother from Sylvanas. He hasn’t done anything else…
Sure. Let’s express hate for one of the few racial leaders that does what he can to PREVENT the deaths of his people, due to war and racial hatred. I mean…promoting peace IS why war-mongering players think he’s weak, right?
He doesn’t just promote peace. He goes out of his way to make sure the alliance has always the upper hand in the ongoing war. That was his motivation back at Theramore when his warning allowed Jaina and her forces to prepare the attack of Garrosh and hold them back by getting neutral support. Many brave Horde soldiers died because of this. Seeing him cry in agony when Theramore was nuked was balm to my soul. Seeing Baine being miserable fills me with joy.
Baine was so useless to the jailer he just…dropped him. Wouldn’t even spend the energy to flick him like a booger. 
Then he kinda sulked for a while in Oribos. Lost all my respect.
Being said, I do feel sorry for him. In the same empathetic way I drive past, around (or over) a dead squirrel in the road. The poor thing… 
I don’t hate Baine I hate the writing.
WoW has always been a comfort game for me as an Abuse Survivor now living with immense Trauma, CPTSD and Trust issues with Sylvanas being the most relatable character for me however during BFA and Shadowlands it’s been hard to find comfort in the game anymore due to the writing further butchering Sylvanas’ character.
But feel like this video does a good job of summarising my thoughts on that matter

Baine is trash. He needs to die. The fact that only alliance players defend him speaks volumes about the quality of the lore. They like him because he is ditching his ownj faction all the time to make sure the alliance can prosper.
Your problem is you havent tried Baine on toasted sour dough. Give him another chance.

And I’ll be honest, despite some of his flaws, I find him more interesting than the other Leaders who are always magically tricked by the “manipulated” Warchief in turn and at the end bring their hands to their heads as “Omg what have we done!?”
The most boring part of the story of the Horde is the same, boring, Warchief forcing the poor noble savages to do things because they lack the hooves to say no. Only the Tauren, because Cairne also stood his ground against the other one.
Baine is spineless. Baine has no grit. If you paired Baine to fight a Dandelion the Dandelion would steal his lawnmower and kick him in the shins.
Most of the Horde avatars I see here hate Baine with guts. So the alliance players jumping to his defense are easily outnumbered.
There are many, many, worse characters to hate-obsess over lol.
