The average WoW player does NOT pvp?

This makes sense and is a reasonable move :+1:

Kind of unfortunate but necessary. I remember Alliance in Korrak’s not really fighting back and wondering what was up with that, and upon queuing Alliance I had a few groups that threatened to report to kick people who fought back because it slowed the rate at which they lost, and figured it’d be more efficient to just lose asap.

Players whenever possible will minmax the fun out of the game, sadly.

Again, though, the experience thing is super important, both for matchups and just becoming more comfortable on your spec. Exceptions being games where you just get statchecked, but even those can be learning opportunities.

People have adapted to certain abilities and are no longer surprised by them. Convoke is the third best Feral covenant ability, behind both Necro and Kyrian, but can be okay with a Mage, I think.

You’re banking on the enemy team using something to stop it (so your next convoke will kill) or your mages combust will. Hoping that they don’t press anything and just die is a noobie strat destined to eventually run into resistance.

Unreliable, inconsistent, hoping for the enemy team to not react, etc. Similar to how most Kyrian/Necro MM Hunters are trying to play their spec right now.

Well, I do consider the experience of seeing personal improvement very satisfying. It feels really good to make a play that causes a win in an arena, nothing else in WoW gives me that feeling.

I also had parents that didn’t hand me things and I started working when I was 12.

Also, Blizzard isn’t paying you for a service, you are paying them for a game you may not even like. Hard to tell.

I play for the story. I am not a fan of PVP at all. And I mean across the whole industry, not just MMORPG. Coop, sure. But not PvP.
The last time I actively did PvP for PvP, was Wintergrasp

Yes I’m sure the .1s kick on certain spells every time is definitely ‘player adaptation’ not sure why you’re going with ‘people have adapted, it’s now noobie strat’ when I’m not even talking about strats and sure wouldn’t with you, Joy, given your history with ‘pilot’ boosts.

It always was.

Outside of proper setup comps, anyways.

Why not? It looks like I’m far more experienced than you.

Heyyy I remember that lol, I think I may have suggested Alliance do that on the forums when Korrak’s first came out :+1: That happened because Blizz made it an excellent way to level and fighting back and losing takes longer and decreases xp/hr so it is better to just dance party in the cave and lose :+1:

I suppose it’s important for people that want to pvp in the first place but that’s not all people.

My parents handed me things when I was young!

And my grandparents :+1:
And my aunts :+1:
A couple cousins too!
And one teacher

Ok

A game I hope that put rewards in

Is that Shep Proudfoot? A movie buff I see.

We’re not a bank, Jerry.
What kind of finders fee you looking for?

That is indeed Shep, I’m glad you’ve seen Fargo, every time I come across it on Netflix I get the urge to watch it again lol

Yeah, it was kind of unfortunate.

They could’ve put the experience into actually playing rather than simply winning or losing.

His father in law Wade was great.

If they had just not added xp at all it would have worked out well too. It wouldn’t have been as popular but since Blizz has yet to revert the nerf or buff the xp a bit that wasn’t a concern for them anyways

I think adding tons of incentives to play the latest thing is cool. Korrak’s would’ve been quite a big less fun and popular if they hadn’t given out tons of free experience, or excluded low level chars.

Yeah but they nerfed it and now each anniversary people check it then avoid it because there’s no reason to do it if you’ve already done it. They should move the old mount reward to the AV TWing vendor and put a new one up each xpac anniversary :+1: That will get more people in there.

Yep. They gutted experience and removed scaling so low level players get 1-2 shot. Very sad.

Haven’t liked WoW PvP from the very beginning. No satisfaction in winning. No feeling of loss when losing. No even playing field because of gear. It just never felt like a PvP game to me.

Methinks they don’t like it, like duh !

I remember a guy spam emoting me in Orgrimmar a while back and I asked why, then he told me it was because I used to kill his alts on the timeless isle almost a decade ago.

WoW pvp is special.

because I’m bad at it and it really doesn’t excite me

I said this, add more WSG, AB and Gilneas maps.
