I have seen countless posts on this forums on how to fix Shuffle, but instead of trying, it seems like nothing is being done.
Can Blizzard please take a close look at Shuffle and at least advise the players if they have a plan for arena in the future? It seems like arena is officially cooked.
The average player who works 9-5 doesn’t have time to get on, wait 2-3 hours after work for a single que. Fixing healer incentives and fixing MMR is a good start.
Healers do not want to lose 32 MMR going 3-3 or gain 0 going 4-2. Leavers need penalized, for some reason, leavers lose 0 MMR again and it’s causing every lobby to have a leaver.
Honestly I think most of the problem people have is not understanding MMR and ratings being inflated.
The shuffle element also may lead to some toxic dynamics. I think most players asking for solo queue just wanted one game at a time without new rules. Bad lobbies would exist, but it would even out over time. Technically bad lobbies kind of exist anyway, although many shuffle problems are exaggerated.
The queue times are a bit concerning for sure. Another option would be to allow friends to queue and prefer placing them against groups with other friends or the same amount of randoms. The system would place you in the same queue as the rest of the population, similar to how Overwatch handles it.
Just saying fix it is not super helpful; that said it’s valid feedback to voice concerns and the game designers can sort out what the real problems and solutions might be.
Simple fix. RBGs were dead anyway, keep BGB and do away with RSS. People who prefer arena will go back to 2s/3s and prople who prefer BGs can casual queue rated BGs.
Funny how ppl want Blizz to double down on this abomination of a bracket even more. What are they gonna do make AI healing slaves so you can get fast ques? The only fix is to delete solo shuffle mmr , titles, and any rewards other than honor and conquest.
