Oh right, you use even worse sources, random people on reddit lol. You have no idea what any of their situations are like. I also like how you didn’t answer my question. Why is it that bots and gold sellers are still here? Why don’t the mass reports just take them out?

The reason you can’t answer that question is because it would mean that you have to admit bans are not automated. This has been relayed to us many times by people that actually work at Blizzard.

It’s all automated these days.

It isn’t though. Over the years we have worked to use what automated systems and processes we can to make things easier overall, taking advantage of machine learning and other such options but it continues to be false that “it’s all automated these days”.

Especially in your case. The reporting system takes the reported logs and compiles them in a report for review. From there it is determined if the reported chat violates policy. IN your case though, this was entirely a manual review. The Game Master ran chat logs manually to verify complaints.

If you believe an error was made you’ll want to submit an appeal, that is the only means to have this reviewed.

It doesn’t matter how many people report someone. Unless they are breaking rules - nothing happens. The whole mass reported hysteria is pretty much just that.

The worst that happens from many reports in a short amount of time is you get squelched until it’s reviewed.

It’s time to stop now.
