Also simply because Socialist is in the name can also be said and applied to current day China, and other communist nations and simply because “republic” is in the name, they must be a republic. It’s a fallacy in itself.

open a ticket with Blizz and move on. If they are messaging you in game Blizz has the data and can “hopefully” act accordingly up to and including referral to local law enforcement if warranted. Blizz knows who and where they are.

That’s just it though. People who even are slightly conservative, are being equated to that terrible regime of people, and that’s not fair or right.
That’s exactly why I’ve told him to take this seriously because the potato brain norm for the average joe is to vilify people because of their beliefs rather than on their crimes if any are applicable.
In many jurisdictions you’re guilty until proven innocent which is as backwards and some USSR type thinking.

I’m not the GM, so I didn’t name the guild. However, I’d hardly even call it edgy. If some one is to be offended by the guild name, they’d have to be offended by every day concepts as well. Granted, considering even Children’s books are being canceled now by the thought police, its not unreasonable to assume they will be offended by anything and everything.

That’s a bit of a naive assumption considering how many Doxxers have done so successfully and innocent people died because of it.
Serious issues need to be taken seriously. IF someone is just talking smack, whatever. Threats? Doxing? No. Very serious allegations to make to someone and suggest.

Even so, be careful and never assume they can’t somehow find your data if they have already made the threats to dox you.
There’s a YouTuber that has covered some cancel culture related stuff, not a really well known name. I’m not going to mention who it was as their info did manage to leak out at one point. All I will say is that they live out in the country in a fairly small town. Their home was vandalized because the person in question dared to cover a story and poke holes into various fake accusations. Nothing too serious, future threats pretty much became non-existent once they showed off their gun collection, but it was enough to show the insane lengths some of these people are willing to go to. Damage in the end was fairly minor, but imagine someone just a tad bit more unstable with no regard for human life.
Scary stuff.
And Aurdo, while you seem to think it’s a matter of needing to be a hacker, don’t ever assume it’s that hard.
Have you posted any WoW related images of your character onto social media? Does your guild have a presence on Facebook and are you a member of that group?
With enough time and effort on the part of a determined nutcase, it’s really not that hard. People actually don’t realize how easy some of this stuff is to trace.
