The amount of pve required to pvp

holy guacamole

Yes yes we get it… there’s a million threads about this. You need to do a fair amount of questing and pve to get going but once you’re going, the maintenance is small.

Good. Its dumb af. Hope there are a million more

Well what level is the line at? I mean do you guys have issues with the quest chains? Like to get the cloak?

Conflict you can get from pvp but breath essence? Are those always an issue. I’d assume maybe the healing raid ones.

Is it just a gear thing? Cause that I agree with, the speed at which one can gear through m+ instead of pvp. Though with that said, it’s like a day’s work. Literally.

When friends consider returning to WoW and they ask what they’d need to do to be ready for arenas, I just feel bad telling them the laundry list of PvE stuff that’s required before they’re slightly competitive.

Well first, in my opinion, Azerite and everything to do with it is a laughable disgrace to the well thought out and complex lore that is the Warcraft universe that I fell in love with close to 20 years ago. I would be completely fine if everything to do with it was gone and replaced with talent trees that let us choose our own talents and playstyle, as opposed to getting random gear with random stats and random talents and traits. That goes for Neck, Cloak, Essences, azurite traits, etc… but thats a different discussion…

Its just a gear thing.

M+ being the only real way to gear your character is a complete drag for people who don’t enjoy doing pve. Im ok with the occasional dungeon, a daily, a weekly, whatever. But having to dedicate so much time to gearing through something unenjoyable is just not gunna happen.

Also, this is just me but im sure other people are in the same boat, I can stand doing some mythic +, ive managed to hang in there for a +6. But pushing something like a +15 or higher is only feasible with the right group of people, usually pve elitist that aren’t all that warm to newcomers to the pve scene.

Ill probably never have 470+ ilvl. To say

is pretty obnoxious and exaggerated. Its only doable with the right people and lots of effort.

Well I can’t comment much on the lore. As much as it interest me, I’ve not yet say down and actually read it all. And I’m guilty of skipping quest dialogue :frowning:

But I mean, to practice what you preach, not THAT much is random. What’s random is what piece of gear you get. And that’s been true since vanilla. The stats don’t vary and the traits don’t vary. It’s all targetable. A proper discussion is how easily it’s targetable. That I can get down with. Getting high level proper azerite pieces can be a nuisance.

See now, respectfully, we have different ideas on this topic and I think it comes with different tiers. For the little time, we’ll call it 3 weeks, that I spent S1 getting a decent io (less than 2k still) , I now take no time at all to gear. I started playing my alt dk the beginning of March. He’s currently 475ilvl. You say you’ll probably never even have 470. So what’s decent/acceptable to you, 460ish? I’m literally getting pvp cap rewards for that. Mythic 10’s drop gear basically at that. 10-11 anyway. And, no offense, but if you’re not concerned or able to get a high ilvl, stat priorities are probably not as sought after for you compared to some, so simply getting 460ilvl through m+ is quite literally a day’s work. That’s not an exaggeration. I understand some people may have an easier time than others but I’m not trying to spread hyperbole. What you think 15’s are (requiring good groups of people) I consider 22+. 15’s I casually do in lfg with the brain turned off. That’s not meant to be a flex because 15s aren’t crap. I’m just saying that different people have different experiences.

With that said, and this goes for anyone in a similar boat to you, I’m more than happy to carry some low keys (10-13) ish if you want some gear. We can try and find armor stack groups and just rock it out. I have a leather and plate wearer myself so, I can pass those.
