Now listen. If we ever get playable forest trolls I believe that they should be Horde. The alliance has all the races that are responsible for their downfall. Night elves, high elves, Humans and void elves. And they are a core ally of the red team. Do you agree?
Didn’t know blood elves (high elves) were in the Alliance now.
One thing to consider is how in Exploring Azeroth: Islands and Isles, the Amani were surprisingly chill with Thalyssra walking through their enclave on Zuldazar. It was a massive surprise for me to read, since they had become outright hostile at the start of Battle for Azeroth when the Horde sought to recruit the Zandalari.
So I feel that we have good odds for the Amani, or a group of them, joining the Horde. I just hope that should this happen, the Revantusk tribe isn’t forgotten.
Forest trolls are a long time fanfavorite really it would be so awesome to play a buff troll since so far the playable ones are all slim and stuff.
It really would and I already have my Forest Troll name reserved.
I haven’t thought one yet tonight after RP time I will do.
should Forest Trolls be playable?
absolutely, no question
the Revantusk have been Horde members since Vanilla
For the Amani to join however they would need to chill out significantly… they would need to get over being allies with their ancestral foes real quick if they want to join the Horde and i’m not sure if even the Zandalari being cool with the elves can smooth over the Amani’s suicidal vengence like that
(and yes, it would be the Blood Elves that they’d have a problem with.
High elves are irrelevant politically and on the cusp of extinction, any that survived Dalaran’s destruction have either swallowed their pride and rejoined the Blood Elves in Quel’thalas, or chose faction pride over family and became Void Elves)
Still the high elves and humans are responsible for most problems of the Amani I wager they hate the alliance more then anyone else.
Amani joining The Horde makes a good deal more sense than the Man’ari Penitants. Just add some additional looks to the Darkspear Trolls who could use some sprucing up, anyway.
Burring the hatchet with the amani would be a real powerplay to Horde security in the eastern kingdoms. Everything from Capitol City to Quel Thalas would be pretty much locked down by Horde or neutral-alligned forces
Amani did nothing wrong
The most justified “bad guys” to ever exist in the game
I agree with you here. That group settling their grudge is still more believable then the Eredar suddenly not be bad.
this is true, they would hate the Alliance more
but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t also hate the Horde.
Silvermoon is still “on troll land” from their perspective and they feel like the 2nd Horde betrayed them when they abandoned that siege to go zerg rush Lordaeron.
it would definitely be easier than joining the Alliance
but its the difference between being Impossible and being almost Impossible
My Forest Troll will definitely be a Revantusk from a RP stand point. It’s why I’m hoping that if Blizzard just makes the Amani playable, that we can have a “of the Revantusk” title.
I feel that as the Revantusk tribe has been allies with the Blood Elves, that they can step forward and help bridge the gap, as it were, even as they deal with Old Hatreds.
Zul’jin is gone. So that means the hate might go down.
I’d like to see The Blood Elves cede the ruined half of Silvermoon City to the Amani. The depeopled elves won’t need it.
Then you’d have this crazy twin-city setup and it would be neat.
That’s certainly possible, the Revantusk were already on the more “peaceful” end of the troll tribes, kinda like the Darkspear just, less bullied by the more warlike ones.
They did grumble a bit when the Blood Elves first joined but if anyone has a chance to bridge the gap between them and the rest of the forest trolls its most likely these guys
exactly what im saying
as long as the Amani Tribe is dead set on vengeance it will continue to get kicked into the dirt by the Horde (and sometimes Alliance)
unless they’re able to move past that nothing is going to change
Saying it again. Zul’jin and his successor are both dead.
They didn’t deserve to be murdered
