The Amani should join the Horde really

Now listen. If we ever get playable forest trolls I believe that they should be Horde. The alliance has all the races that are responsible for their downfall. Night elves, high elves, Humans and void elves. And they are a core ally of the red team. Do you agree?
The grudges with the blood elves are not that major I think the beef with the blue team is the more pressing issue for them.

Seems like they’re going to always take the easy route and do one pass of content for both factions, which probably means forest trolls will not be an allied race, and will end up being a customization with a short questline at best.

Given what they did with the Witherbark in the upcoming patch, I would not be surprised if the Amani are punching bags again.

Honestly I’ll be Shocked if the Amani don’t become troll customization.

Not making the trolls evil again would be great.

Blood Elves are a part of their downfall too. Zul’jin and the Amani didn’t forget it. :dracthyr_tea:

Zul’jin is dead. Grudges might go low.

I hope that we can Forest Trolls as their own race. The fact that the Darkspear and Forest Troll male models are different, gives me hope that Blizzard would just update the Forest Troll models, and give us buff trolls to play over making the Forest Troll a customization race.

One thing to consider is in Exploring Azeroth: Islands and Isles, the Amani were surprisingly chill with Thalyssra walking through their enclave on Zuldazar. So it does show that we have Amani that are willing to at least tolerate the Horde.

Now I could see hostile Forest Trolls in Midnight. Though I’m hoping it more the twisted Vilebranch or a splinter of Amani, while the bulk of the Amani make the pragmatic choice in working with the Horde.

I just hope that the Revantusk tribe isn’t forgotten and that they can have a role in uniting the Amani with the Horde.

Alright saved my name. Fingers crossed Midnight will be the time we really get the trolls.

“Zul’jin, planning to take revenge against Quel’Thalas, saw the opportunity when most of the blood elves and Horde were busy fighting on Outland. He had his champions harness the power of the loa with the help of the cunning Hex Lord Malacrass. Not wanting to fight a war on two fronts, the Horde sent a task force of some of their strongest champions to kill the Amani leadership.” (World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 3)

Blood Elves and the Horde killed Zul’jin and his priests but also many Amani in Zul’Aman in BC. Not sure Amani can forgive this so easily (we have the Revantusk at worst).

If the most evil demons reponsible for millions of genocide can be redeemd then so can the grudges between blood elves and Amani.

Man’ari Eredar and Amani Trolls aren’t the same. Not every thing can be forgiven for each race. Eredar can forgive easier than Trolls for the same things. Also it’s just a very little part of the Man’ari Eredar for redemption, not every Man’ari Eredar with many of them continuing their burning crusade. We can have the same thing with the Revantusk tribe with a group of Amani.

Eredar are really evil. Trolls just want their lands back. I don’t see the issue here. With new leaders every problem can be solved. Blizzard created this precedent.

Only Man’ari Eredar, not just Eredar. Also, we don’t know the new leader of the Amani, so maybe he will have the same goal as Zul’jin.

Yeah, I would prefer Forest Trolls as their own standalone option, but I’ve not seen any indication of a willingness to do content for both sides in a long while.

After BFA Midnight might be the best chance to create faction specific content again. Really. Like Lor’themar is usually pragmatic.

That is true and bummed me out. I really liked Zul’jin and when the Revantusk were introduced, they talked about Zul’jin’s return in the context of him being with them. Sadly Blizzard went another direction with The Burning Crusade and their belief that it would be cool to fight the old RTS heroes.

I’m not sure on the matters of forgiveness, but I can see pragmatism moving them to align with the Horde to help Zul’Aman in the face of a Void invasion. At the very least we know per Exploring Azeroth: Islands and Isles, that we have Amani that are willing to be more chill with Horde members, as seen with Thalyssra walking through their enclave with no issue.

That is a possibility and for all we know the Amani might not even have a central leader. Like we could start Midnight with the Amani divided on who should be in charge, with the Horde stepping in, and helping the one more likely or willing to work with us.

Yeah since Shadowlands the questing content has largely been the same and I can see how that can be hard to reconcile with the Amani.

After all the Amani hate everyone, but the Horde has avenues with the Zandalari, Revantusk, and/or even some Second War veteran Orc - Amani angle to help open dialogue between the Horde and Amani. Where as the Alliance don’t really have an avenues to open dialogue and them being tossed in with the Horde would feel weird.

I know no one will agree with me here but I kinda wish Blood Elves followed through on their plan to move to Outland, so the Amani could get their indigenous lands back.

Think about it: we’d get to have badass space fantasy elves, AND we wouldn’t have to deal with the uncomfortable and inherently problematic idea of an indigenous people needing to forgive their colonists for ethnic cleansing.

As it stands, I don’t see a way to “solve” the Amani problem and have them join the Horde and forgive the Blood Elves. A one-state solution, maybe? XD

I don’t think the blood elves would mind parting some parts of the Ghostlands here. It is still a better solution then Eredar suddenly not being evil.

Outland sucks and the “all land is troll land” blood and soil RP is no less annoying than the other ultranationalist rp subcultures.

God you’re insufferable.

“Outland sucks”

Yeah well thats just like your opinion, man. I’d love to see a modern rendition of Outland with modern assets. It’s the second most important planet in the setting. It’s got a unique space fantasy vibe. Give it some love.
