Neither free transfers nor LFD fix the problems faced by players on low pop servers and hearing countless players on megaservers saying it will help us is disingenuous. By and large, they don’t care about the players on low pop realms but are only now feigning concern because they think it will help them get what they want. I’m going to repost what I put in another thread regarding this exact issue:

This thread is for calling attention to the elephant in the room that has spiraled out of control since Classic’s launch: realm populations. They have been wildly mismanaged and largely ignored by Blizzard, whose primary response to their players’ concerns has been to offer Character Migration services: a non-solution that only further exacerbates the problem.
LFD does nothing to help players on low pop realms conduct open world quests/groups/raid, form guilds, trade profession services like enchanting, or make a living on the Auction House. Wanting LFD is one thing but don’t use low population players as a shield in your crusade for getting your way and then act as if you speak on our behalf all the while you continue to play on a 27k pop realm.
