No one I know of does that. Always something to be doing if you want to find it .
Funny currently as Horde, fly to location bunch of alliance camping the FP, logout.
Or jump into the Maw and entire Alliance waiting outside the cove.

Really? Just take a look in Oribos and see for yourself. I see many players doing it, staying afk in Oribos waiting for a dungeon group to form, waiting for a BG queue to pop, arena queues, etc.
“Old city” yet we farmed about 3k honor last night and gave about 40people 10min timeouts.
Did you do this on a sargeras server phase? Because that has to be one of my biggest pet peeves with WM. I’ll be on a lowbie and there’s horde every where, but nothing for my main. 
We try different phases, normally after about a hour we kill the phase and people just turn warmode off and flying around us being annoying. We often Q for a battleground waiting for the alliance to repopulate, we come back swinging when we get out.

Cool story. His main never has wm off, but good on you for thinking his recruiting toons he never plays cared for you killing npcs.
