We will be on foot until level 40 (Maybe longer if you aren’t financially savvy).
So I must find out, does jumping make you move faster?

The shortest distance between two objects is a strait line. If you are jumping you are going zig-zag. But the difference is probably very minimal and its funner to jump.
If i dont jump I will hit 40 before my friends confirmed.
Hell no!.. well I guess maybe. But like, this aint ocarina of time, where backflipping/side jumping (side jumping is faster cause you can do it more frequently) are literally the only way to get to hyrule before the sun goes down the first time you leave Kokiri. But I digress. When I was nine and I started playing wow, I may have viewed that as a savvy way to get around. However, now I can buy booze and plan on being intoxicated and enjoying the scenery while not getting motion sick.
The only thing that makes you travel faster while on foot is rolling NE and doing a flip. I believe it’s a 25% speed increase when a flip lands.
Nope, if you just run to the gate you can make it with some time to spare.
Only on Angler Rafts.
Thats an amazing answer. I wonder if they made you movement speed a tiny bit faster while you’re in the air to compensate for the zig zag… which would mean it’s like exactly the same, right?
Are you even a Night Elf if you don’t jump?
Acktuallly when jumping your velocity in the x direction remains constant while your y changes, so running vs running and jumping is the exact same thing minus style points.
Actually, if you actually say actually in an actual sentence people actually think you actually know what you’re actually talking about. Actually.
The night elf question is why would I walk when I can jump-jump-flip?
Or, what is the maximum number of consecutive flips a night elf can do?
I dunno if its pservers or what but ive done over 5 in a row before.
Three is my record. I never could get a random 4th flip.
No.
Your horizontal speed is not affected by jumping.
The shortest distance between 2 objects or points is established by mutual mass occupancy through a fold in space time, in which 2 objects or points are warped together with a total distance of zero between them.
So… a mage portal?
*straight.
Its bugging me, and people keep quoting it. A strait line is the path ships take through a narrow passage between two land masses.
Physically, in game I mean, no.
Mentally, yes, lots of people claim to be moving faster
It’s just a placebo. If you’re happy jumping then jump away.
Funny thing… when the Classic demo was live, I’d log out of the demo and into retail, and completely forget my retail characters have mounts. xD
On-topic: No, jumping doesn’t make you move faster, but it does provide the illusion of it.
Jump, spin and land going on the same path…did that for HOURS leveling my hunter and funny enough it paid off later
