I often get targeted WoW ads on YouTube, and they look awful — like just another mindless mobile time-waster.
Bring back the person who handled PR in the 2000s.

Terrible isn’t the word I’d use, but they are a little bizarre. The two I see the most is Thrall riding a wolf while a synth track plays and the other is a slice of the cutscene of Xal vs Khadgar while ‘Sandstorm’ plays which is choice I guess.
I guess their ad campaigns have always been a bit weird now that I think about it.

The most recent one I’ve seen is the “a place of tranquility” ad. Literally not a single piece of combat or aggressive action at all. Just a chick sitting with a cat and some mining. Like…who in the world would see that and think “oooh can’t wait to go do that!”. It’s honestly puzzling how it’s so bad lately.
