What do you have to play with as far as addons go? Why do you recommend them?

I like the Garrison addons manager for WOD. Makes it so much nicer and easier.

What are yours?

I cannot play without Bartender or Vuhdo. Vuhdo is just so helpful and I love that I can bind my spells onto my mouse when I hover over the little Vuhdo windows it will cast those spells on the person in hovering over. It makes playing a healer so much more fun for me!

Only mandatory ones are world quests list and tradeskillmaster.

does elvui count as an addon? if so, then elvui. otherwise, probably weakauras

SUI is pretty nice. Darkens the default UI and has a couple extra features. That and Leatrix Plus.

Deadly Boss Mods. Or DBM for short. Life saver for dungeons/raids. Let’s you know if boss is going to throw out some heavy damage, if you’re standing in fire, and more.

What does that one do in particular?

Speedy loot. It’s the only Addon I use.

It offers a large number of QoL changes!

Hmm I have a bunch and like them all, but if I had to pick a top 3:

Z-perl Unit Frames - Because it’s far prettier and better than the standard UI frames.

TellMeWhen - I use it to track all sorts of things. Buffs, dots, ability cds, etc. Very easy and customizable.

BeQuiet - Silences and removes the annoying pop windows in the story or world quests where the NPCs chatter to you. “Champion, go kill this—” Nope, not on my watch. Begone from my screen! :smile:

Total Roleplay 3 is the only addon I use. I -can- live without it, but it makes it much easier to see who is a RPer at a glance. I also like looking at all the character art people have in their profile descriptions.

VuhDo - I have healed without it using the base UI and mouse over macros, but I feel like VuhDo plays … smoother? I dunno.

BigWigs - I don’t play with NPC voices on (trying to hear my raid leaders) and I don’t see very well, can’t legally drive even, so the dings and boops are appreciated.

edit; HIDE TALKING HEAD. BEST ADDON. I don’t need a huge dialogue box and some lame portrait telling me about how I need to feed 10 nuggets to a giant bird. I got this.

I can play without them if it came to necessity, but I’d hate everything about it.

It lists all the world quests and their rewards on your map. It’s great.

Weak auras (so many auras - my fave wow addon of all time!!)
Details (because i like to look at a breakdown of things all the time, not just total dps).
Leatrix plus (i want this added to wow as default options)
Bigwigs/DBM.

These are the big 4 that i have become used to having and playing the game without them feels like its missing something.

The rest of my addons are basically quality of life additions to wow and i can play without them if needed.

Some of these don’t belong, I test a lot of addons and leave them around but disabled so a few aren’t used

I basically just need a UI Compilation of some sort. Doesn’t have to be “optimal”, I just can’t stand the 1996-looking base UI. It’s awful and I hate it.

There’s addons that are obvious go-to’s outside of that, but I wouldn’t say I “can’t play without them” or anything like that. Even something like DBM isn’t totally necessary, it’s just convenient to be able to time things better. Same for Details! or other DPS Meters – it’s good information but I don’t need that to play.

Bartender and bagnon. Every thing else, meh
