I don’t get it. Feel like I’m missing something then feel like there’s nothing there to miss.
Which one is it?
We have to get addons somewhere else?
Blizz is ticked?
Authors are ticked?
Weakaura’s/combat addons make it harder for normal players that don’t use addons? (yeah, a streamer made me ask that question - is it true?)
Addons are good?
Addons are bad?
I don’t use addons?
We have to change from Curseforge?
We have to change from Overwolf?
We have to use wago?
We have to download our own?
I don’t even effing care?
Me: I have a couple. Nothing for combat. Just stuff to make it easier for me. Oh, wait, Details, just so I can play against myself to get better.
I know some of you think this is a stupid post, or stupid period, I just can’t tell if I’m supposed to be concerned and do something or not care and everything will be fine. lol aarrghh
lol - good thing I don’t drink …or eat taco bell - blech
but, you’re right
haven’t clue what I’m talking about, that’s why I’m asking. Probably because I don’t know the right question to ask. I’m just confused.
You have to use the overwolf client or download addons manually. I don’t think any 3rd party apps will work much longer.
Edit: for curse
I’ve seen no indication of this.
I’d imagine the logic behind this is “If Blizz designs encounters around people having addons then not having addons makes it more difficult”. Is it true? People always say they don’t need addons and they are the best players in the world so who knows.
Subjective.
“Have to”? No.
Also no
AT THE MOMENT
nothing exists on Wago that doesn’t exist on curseforge addons wise. Could someone post something only on Wago? Yes, but that’s no different than someone posting an addon only on Reddit, or only on WowInterface or only on Github.
My keyboard turning, spell clicking, dumb player doesn’t use any. I just play for fun. But I play solo mostly so I don’t inflict myself on anyone else.
Im pretty mediocre and got through all of N Ny’alotha without dbm or WA. Pretty sure I did parts of H that way too. Can’t speak to mythic, but for what most players are doing it’s not that bad if you’re not just watching Netflix all raid
I wish wow had it’s own real time damage meter but yeah that is a must for me.
My guild mother always makes sure we have deadly boss mods because it’s a great quality of life addon.
When I was trying to learn to raid and do dungeons my last guild did that. The thing is once I load them I haven’t a clue what to do next. Tbh, I really get tired of having to research everything from the game to addons. I’ve got about 2 hours, maybe more to play. If half that time is taken up by research I start loosing interest…not to mention stop having fun. Probably why SL’s ticked me off … that and the Maw /grin
You, awesome friend, thank you for always having my back. Happy Valentine’s day!
Yes, I have enough situational awareness that WAs and a cluttered screen actually drops my performance quite a little and I can’t stand the clutter or the time it takes to “organize” everything long enough to get used to it.
Basic WoW UI since I started playing in Wrath.
I have Bartender so I can move a few things around to my liking (and I need extra bars that Blizzard doesn’t have because…well…Druid), Details, and Postal (for when I sell things on the AH I don’t have to claim 1 by 1)…outside of that…oh DBM but after about 2 weeks into a season I’ve got the mechanics down to the visuals so it’s not much help there.
since curse stopped supporting WoWup I reduced my addons to bare minimum. I have to use Leatrix Plus and Maps but I am doing better without all the crap cluttering my screen tbh. The only thing that I feel is really unfortunate is classic addons…
I need a lot more to make that game comfortable. There is so many QoL changes that happened in retail over the years, I just really miss in BC
not entirely true. Other clients can use addons of their authors host on their servers, which is why WoWUP is implementing ads into their client, to entice addon creators to host there with real money payments since Overwolf poisoned the well.
