Okay, there are two problems. But imo one is par for the course for a soulless billion dollar company the other is made from actual disdain and lack of respect for its playerbase.
I grinded my butt off for the original brutosaur. For months and months. I stopped playing for any other reason, I watched gold guides, I looked at auction house guides, I sat down and budgeted and made goals to hit. I looked up things to sell. I did pure looted gold grinds. I came up with my own strategies. It completely burned me out on wow and I didn’t play for the next 2 expansions. I truly despised every minute of it but I felt what I was doing was worth it. 5 million gold, at the time, was ~$500 (and possibly more in today’s dollar because of inflation), and once the chance was gone, that’s it. I knew this was the one and only chance to have something this special.
The original brutosaur was over five times more expensive than this mount.
and this new one is BETTER, with a mailbox in addition.
The fact that people are complaining about spending $90 for a mount with an auction house and mailbox is… justified,
but also,
laughable, for what it means for those that got the original one.
This is an absolute slap in the face to the people that worked for the original.
In one fell swoop, blizzard not only upset people who are upset it’s a cash grab, but also those of us that were actually led to believe our hard work at the time would mean something.

The actual problem with the new mount is there is an Alliance in one seat. No free rides for them.

blizzard doesn’t care about hard work or grinds so far the only things they have respected are the pvp sets when it comes to hard work and grind. also this is kinda not new for them i mean look at overwatch 2 that’s a literal microtransaction infestation its what they are doing for everygame so far. Not to mention they are closing posts talking about or complaining about it lol.

yea most people say that till they have something they felt they worked REALLY hard for becomes trivial and for half of what they paid or did for it.
I mean, this game is a business when it comes down to it, and it just made the company millions in a matter of minutes.
Nothing in this game is worth it unless you have a fun time getting to it.
When I did rank 14 in Vanilla, I enjoyed my time, that´s why I made it twice. Others were forcing themselves into each BG and guess what, most of them regret it today or quit before Rank 14.
It seems as if you never enjoyed playing the game to aquire the mount, so ofc. you regret it now.
I see many Rank 14 today, who probably did it the easy way and guess what, I don´t care. I enjoyed my time in Vanilla and I still have fond memories about it.
Blizz has proven again and again, that anything we have can either be deleted or reintroduced at a later date, you should have known better.
Do you get mad when you buy a new video game for full price and 5 years later it’s selling for $15 instead of the $60 you paid for it?
Do said people not have the reward?
Did said people not save money in retrospect?
Did said people not have their unique advantage for multiple years?
It’s a video game. You decide what you want to do, what you want to earn, etc.

meh - I don’t care. I just bought this one too. I did have gold just sitting there, if I had to go out and farm it maybe I would as well.
You also got to enjoy it from BFA till today, which only brutsaur owners could enjoy. Boohoo they add something new for everyone else to enjoy. You still have a mount no one else can get anymore.

You still have your original one, it still has its own unique place in your mount journal. Stop throwing a fit that the other kids got a toy like yours in a different color.
There is a LOT wrong with the bruto mount. You feeling like your accomplishments aren’t as important anymore isn’t one of them. That is a you problem.

Why grind for it when you can just buy it?
