After seeing how Blizzard, strongly looks like Activision, pulled the strings from Heroes of the Storm, I highly doubt us talking about anything will go anywhere. If they’re willing to pull the plug on something just before New Years, lie to everyone from Blizzcon that HGC and development was going to continue strong, there’s nothing we can say that won’t change the game. I can reference many threads and complaints about WoW alone that they’re still not answering or acknowledging.
We have 2 casualties of the new Blizzard, or what it strongly seems like Activision, running the show so far. Diablo & Heroes of the Storm. WoW is looking like it’s the next one.
It is through actions like this (and stealth changes to the live game that greatly impact WOW players’ experiences without saying a word beforehand, for example) that insist that Activision Blizzard could not possibly care any less about the community. When a company so savagely and selfishly cut off people from an opportunity to better their lives through playing their games after promising and advertising they would do so - especially on a grand stage such as BlizzCon - it instills distrust and resentment. If we as the community can’t trust even the word of a game developing company then how can we trust them with our money and to make good decisions with integrity and with their customers’ best interest in mind?
Given how Blizzard threw HOTS players and Diablo PC fans under the proverbial bus, I’m much less likely to suggest any Blizzard products to my friends.
Like there’s profits and then there’s goodwill from the fan base. Blizzard might be trying to save money, but they’re prodigally frittering away the only currency that matters to gamers.
I’m glad you were able to enjoy MOP and Legion. I was too, to a great degree. Activision Blizzard deserves credit for their work when it’s appropriate. How has your BFA experience been so far?
And please, if you do anything for me in life, don’t undermine other people and their opinions due to the fact that you have a different point of view. Stay open minded, stay humble.
Fantastic decision. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ll be doing the same. The sooner Activision Blizzard choose to make fun, engaging gaming experiences and truly reconnect with their customers and community, I’ll likely change my mind.
The thing is…you can only believe Activision is pulling the strings if you think Blizzard are liars.
If you think Blizzard are liars, then you don’t think very highly of them to begin with.
If you don’t think highly of them to begin with…then why is it out of the realm of possibilities they are messing up on their own…without Acitivision’s interference?
The theory of “Activision is messing up WoW” only works if you decide everyone is a liar. The entire thread is based on the fact you aren’t being humble with your opinion.
Your opinion is based on saying “the facts are wrong. everyone else is lying. my opinion that has no real solid evidence…is true.”
How does one that disagrees with that opinion even “debate” it? You can’t debate feelings.
Im not saying that Blizz are a bunch of liars as thats definitely not true. They have though been a bit more sneaky and shadier I feel like in more recent times than in the past.
Well just so you know OP, as I’ve been a little lower on cash, I been playing the classic Blizzard games like the original Starcraft and so on…as you know that game is at least timeless, it will still be fun 481 years from now (the year that world is set in).
You have a terrible argument here. I’ve been playing WOW since 2006. I love Blizzard, or at least who they used to be. I love WOW and still do. I’ve been subbed to BFA since launch and have decided to stick it out until it crashes and burns.
I don’t think Blizzard’s completely at fault and as stated many times before in this discussion, it’s truly Activision that’s running the show. Activision is also known to be cutting costs, and everywhere they can. The evidence is right in front of all of us.
Blizzard says Activision does not control them. If you think Activision controls them, then you think Blizzard are liars. That is my point.
And if you think the company is a bunch of liars already, then you already don’t have much respect for them. Which makes me wonder why one wouldnt think they are perfectly able to make decisions about WoW that one wouldn’t like…on their own.
It means that they are driven to say whatever it takes to make it seem like they’re calling the shots. Activision clearly determines which projects get what resources and when games need to be released. That’s called running the show. I’m sure Activision even tells Blizzard employees what to say and when to say it.
You say that it doesnt apply to met yet you directly comment to me with a response that was a tangent nothing in relation to what I stated and then say it doesn’t apply to me. #Logic
