Outcome Unclear. Ask Again Later.

… Should I play again in 8.2?

8.2 PTR is coming very very soon (encrypted version is already up) so wait until then to try it out!

New interview today confirmed flying in both Naz and Mechagon, reiterated that Mechagon is more like Timeless Isle (a “playground”) and that Sylvanas won’t get a trial like Garrosh. Also hinted at Alliance inner division.

Agreed. If they turn out to only have one model like Sethrak I’ll be very sad.

It is certain.

Where’s this at?

That’s…really disappointing. Most of the story stuff can probably be called lies, since they’ve directly contradicted themselves a few times. The rest just suggests they’re aware of player discontent and don’t care.

I got the opposite impression, considering the talk about the classes feeling disappointing is linked directly to new abilities through the HoA.

Yes, it doesn’t mean that the patch will have new unique class abilities, but I don’t know if that means they don’t care. Nor do I think anyone expected or hoped for this patch to address that in a massive way, but I could be wrong.

i just… want to not have to ally with saurfang

its obviously where the story is going and if horde players get the option to not have to side with him, i want that option too! he helped start this world war, and getting hacked apart is not better than being burnt alive regardless of how an orc feels about it

just not another robot cat. im not… strong enough.

I’ll believe Blizzard “cares” when they stop making explicitly inflammatory design moves for nebulous reasons.

I don’t think Saurfang will make it out of all this alive, as punishment for going against the chief to appease the people who don’t like him as well as to get more people to dislike Sylvanas as a “last straw” (kind of like Durotan vs Gul’dan) before she’s axed/kicked out/whatever. Two birds with one stone.

and upon finding out that he’s dead, tyrande will realise that disliking the horde is wrong, because an orc chopping you in half is obviously different than being burnt alive, and thus saurfang is a good person and jesus h christ i cant do it. i cant. i c a n n o t. PLEASE let this end.

I don’t know what dead Saurfang would do to anyone but the Horde and Anduin (oops my plan failed), but okay.

because saurfang is being posited as the ‘good’ aspect of the horde in opposition to sylvanas being the ‘bad’ aspect of the horde, despite him being just as monstrous as her; given your scenario wherein saurfang dies to prove how evil sylvia is, id call it inevitable that alliance characters are going to be made to weep for him despite him happily starting another world war and intended enslavement of an entire nation

I was talking more about the story.

They said not long ago that they wanted to reiterate Mists of Pandaria basically step-for-step, but now they’re saying they don’t want that?

They fomented and pushed player division and hatred, but now they’re saying they don’t want to be exploitive?

They want to hint at Alliance division, but there’s nothing in their history that suggests they’ll follow through on that. See: Alliance Fist-Pump Moment and the Battle for Lordaeron, both of which were disappointing and bad.

I agree that the talent stuff looks neat, though. Kind of stupid that it took them this long to realize they had screwed up, though.

Stalairne’s not talking about Saurfang specifically, but about the Alliance story being once-again shackled to the Horde’s Manpain and being used as a foil.

Personally, I think Anduin going for a constant ceasefire is perfect grounds for Tyrande to go “Nope.” and stage a military coup since -his home- isn’t currently a background piece for Darkshore.

i mean, im also talking about saurfang specifically. he’s being posited as ‘da good guy’ because he cares about “”""""""""""“honor”""""""""""" because hacking someone into bits is ‘better’ than burning them alive, in ions mind.

I’d say the sooner they put the faction war behind us the better but…

the faction conflict will continue for the foreseeable future.

I sort of interpreted that to mean that the faction conflict will continue past 8.2, as opposed to it being put aside in favor of “bigger threats.” Not necessarially that it would continue into infinity.

Which is something I’ve wished they would do for a long time, but man, it feels like a hollow victory now.
