My grandmother once put her toy poodle (after it passed away) in the freezer because she didnt want it to be lonely (aka…bury it) because she thought she was moving soon (she was not).
It gave me a heart attack going for the ice cream one visit. No one knew it was there.
You can and I can also play the game and physically feel it. I have 3 healers. They all have very different mana usage.
One of my best friends who I have raided Mythic with in the past. Literally rerolled off of monk 2 months into the expansion just to switch to evoker over mana. The only reason lol
Likes monk, loves how it plays, but he can’t get over potting 30 times a dungeon. Not to mention it slows his keys down so much. Ever since he went evoker, he tells me he doesn’t even buy pots anymore.
I have seen a couple of those builds. Though I don’t think there’s much of a market for people here to build them. We also considered module homes but land here was too expensive. I hope your build works out!
Blizzard has the ability to make abilities function differently in different content. They could have just added a stacking healing debuffs to raids and M+ for the same effect.
I don’t doubt this. Source of Magic is kinda nuts for what it is. There were earlier PTR logs of Evoker just sitting at 100% mana. But there was also 10.1 PTR logs of MW Monks sitting at 100% mana (without the Rashok trinket). (The bonus got nerfed, so now their mana bar moves again.)
So, looking at 10.1 PTR logs, and knowing the tier set provides quite a lot of mana, I’m willing to bet your friend does not have this context. And fwiw, this isn’t a gotcha, it’s more likely we’re talking about 10.0 vs 10.1 experiences/theorycrafting.
It’s because people have started doing extremely high keys with no healer. Doing 1 tank that offheals, and 4 dps usually that have solid support ability’s.
So Blizzard said nay nay good sir’s. They don’t want the healing community to end up jobless and finding it impossible to play.
So they amped up damage and healing required. So that it can’t be possible in the future to do that anymore.
So people are blaming the top 0.1 percent because casual players in a 12 aren’t doing these types of strategy’s.
IIRC, this was mostly due to Prot Pally off-healing with WOG’s basically being a LOH with a minor resource cost. And that was gutted. And yeah, the power of VT, AG, NV were players too, but Prot Pally really enabled it.
That started towards the end of the season, due to the new ring in 10.0.7 mostly.
Blizz said they did it for the same reason they did it prior to DF launching. I think people just need to stop blaming others and realize that this is how it was at the beginning of DF when they did it the first time and understand we’re using last season’s gear at the beginning of the new season.
Once next week rolls around and people start getting new season gear, no one will even be talking abou this. Just like last time. It’s befuddling to me that this is even a complaint, tbh.
Prot Paladin WOG on non-self targets was gutted to reduce the power of their off-healing (to help dissuade a 1/0/4 group in M+). It’s separate from the 25% stamina/25% creature damage change.
