With all the negativity swirling over this game right now I just wanted to stop by and say
W. O. W. (Pun intended) What an amazing event. Honestly its the social aspects of WoW I always loved. So many people on my server are hanging out there. I get story time, a fashion show, and a mount showcase. THIS is the kind of stuff I love in this game. Fun and relaxing. I was able to show off the new AH dinosaur mount I bought for 90$ in the showcase and I loved seeing how many people had the same store mounts as me. I did not have enough gold in game so I just bought it with real money. I missed getting the previous AH dino that was available, so I was ecstatic when this one was on the store! This celebration event is perfect.
PLEASE do more events like these. I have made a few friends sitting there RPing with two vulperan players. I have explored Tanaris fighting big bosses. I even won the fashion show contest! I was really proud because I usually never win anything in game or in life.
Can’t wait for next week on reset to get more coins to get my armor transmog! Anyone else enjoying this event too?? Which armor set are you getting first?
Not a bad event, most people that hate are the ones that have collecting issues because they can’t get all the sets and TW items day one. It does have a it’s fair share of bugs though.
Did you need this event to have a fashion show, a mount off, pet battle, kill a world boss, or show off you spent $90? Is there really anything here you can’t do infront of the bank in any city anytime you want to? I have seen this event play out everyday, every expansion, in cities everywhere for the last 20 years. This is nothing new and exciting. Happy you have convienced yourself this is something new, exciting, and great.
The event is cool, but there are problems. The grind for example is a lot more well, grindy, than most people are comfortable with and the BRD raid is grossly overtuned, but besides that it’s a fun event.
I like it, I’m just a little confused by it. I just did both pet quests and got no bronze things. I guess it’s only instance content that gives the coins? Don’t have time to sit in instances queues ATM.
I’d say that’s most of the people that like it actually. If you don’t have collecting issues then chances are good you’re probably just ignoring it entirely.
All the TWW stuff that drops coins has absolutely nothing to do with the event. I don’t enjoy it but I’m going to get some sets I want. Slog through the crap to get what you want. Nothing new there.
The only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t feel very rewarding. You spent 5 minutes doing a quest like Mount Mania and there is no reward. Not even a single timewarped badge for getting a match.
I guess that is supposed to be coming in the future from what other posters have said but it isn’t clear in the game that is the case.
I agree and I am enjoying it very much. On top of all the fun things they hid in there to discover I get to level up my alts a bit easier. Got a few upgrades also. I might not que up for anything except maybe the chromie thing. I’d like to get the mount but need to do that now.
I mean it is fun, but it feels like a corporate event on campus with a balloon slide and some kiosks tossed around and vendors to make it feel like a celebration. Big old stage where your bosses tell you how amazing they are then some safe entertainment for the kids that are bored out of their minds.
