So, I hope you guys at blizzard are intending to make large quantities of these? Look at ebay. So many people have scalped the game on ebay, and it’s just awful.

I get that it might make it a little less special to produce a large number of these, but on the other hand, you have a ton of these things being grabbed by scalpers and not actual fans of the game; shouldn’t the point be to get these into the hands of fans who love the game and classic as a whole? Not to give money to greedy ebay scalpers?

If you want an example of a limited edition gaming item being scalped to oblivion, to the point where fans raged at the company who produced it and bombed the ratings of said item? Look no further than the Majoras Mask 3DS XL. Even a year after it was produced, you still couldn’t get it for a reasonable price (IE close to MSRP).

I’m inclined to agree with this post.

If you don’t make more of these, the scalpers might run out of inventory and that’s not good for business.

Please produce more so they can buy them up and resell them to support their families.

Someone doesn’t understand supply and demand in this particular context.

If there is a larger supply of these items, they become much less valuable after demand is met; scalpers would lose profit because they wouldn’t be able to sell these things for such outrageous prices, because of how common the item is.
Think the NES Classic edition fiasco would have happened if there was a considerably larger inventory of the item? Or the majora’s mask one for that matter?

Doubtful.

While it may be true that the only way to get the item is from the Blizzard store, mind you, there’s no saying they can’t put a limit on how many purchases can be made of said item per account.

You have a long way to go until supply and demand brings the scalping price into reasonable range. How many more should they produce to do that?

I’m not a Blizzard sales employee, so any exact or even vague number would be pure BS and speculation on my part. I’m sure they can figure it out if they want to solve this problem though, since they have or can easily hire a dedicated team of experts for this if need be.

This is why they where sold in the first 3 seconds the page was posted, scalpers are constantly monitoring stuff like this, they have bots that snag hundreds of copies as soon as the page goes live.

All the collectors edition would give you for Classic is a pet… just get a whelp or oozling and be happy. There is no clout or epeen given to those with a collectors edition.

I feel they should gave given it to active accounts as a perk for being loyal customers.

Blizz’s store is sold out but they have plenty on ebay! That line was a joke. Someone is making a quick buck though. Lol. The statue is cool but im done with the extra crap. They can keep it. Give me engaging gameplay over all the extras.

Why on earth do people want this? Beyond the $15 month of sub included, you are paying for a $84 statue. Past CEs at least included a box cost, but apparently this one doesn’t even include bfa.

I guess people are really into statues. :man_shrugging:
