The 10.1.5 Warlock Questline was pretty silly

I’ve refuted that fan theory so many times, I’m just going to say;

1. The fact that Lightforged can still use fel undermines Illidan’s objection as this quest proves he’d still be able to tap into Fel if he’d been Lightforged.
2. I’ll also leave this here;

"Lightforging = brainwashing" debunked

There’s no actual evidence that Lightforging itself does brainwashing at this point, just edgelord fan theories. The closest thing to evidence of brainwashing is a twisted interpretation of one character’s words - Geya’rah - and that scenario was a one-sided snapshot of the situation.
