The “sprinting” animation should be activated for characters moving at 40% movement speed

Once movement speed reaches 40% in this game, the sped up default jogging animations just look far worse and less appropriate than the sprinting ones. And there’s still an extra 20% movement speed that needs to be gained after this before toons hit the threshold to be switched to the sprint animation.

This has always been a major gripe of mine and I really can’t see the upside continuing the status quo with the current running animation thresholds. Sprinting just looks far more appropriate than the default one in every way once a toon hits 40% movement speed, I would argue even once they hit 30%.

It is to the degree that I actively want to avoid being between 40-60% movement speed without an enlargement effect like winterfall firewater, as my characters’ movement looks ridiculous when I’m in this range.

This is exactly the kind of gripe I can get behind. Some small thing that pretty much nobody thinks about. In this case it’s also because I think the pandaren sprinting animations look awesome and I want to see it all the time. :dracthyr_comfy_green:

My favorite animation is when the rogue does aoe stealth while you’re on divine steed, thousands of tiny steps.

Amen. These kind of things are the small details that amazing game developers put in that you don’t even notice but is what makes a game great.
