Cata was likely being worked on in late TBC when most of Wrath was already designed. The OG devs wanted random dungeon finder in Vanilla and were disappointed they couldnt get it in the game until Wrath.
Your entire viewpoint of Cata being the end is funny because not only is retail still going but it still has more players than Classic does as a whole.

The worst expansion would either be BFA or Shadowlands. Unless your entire foundation on worst expansion ever revolves around some of the old zones being changed then Cata is far from the worst.

I didnt. I havent played retail since the first week of shadowlands and quit in BFA before that and have been exclusively classic since then.
Much of what youve said in these threads give off the impression that youve hardly ever played the game

Well it was unintended. Perhaps you can be more specific.
They don’t want it in the game. That’s it, that’s their justification, and since it’s their game and not yours that’s all the justification they need.
Your only hope for RDF would be with the ICC patch at this point. I would not be surprised if Blizzard went that route.
The WoW token is here because a large portion of the player base cannot control themselves, cannot help themselves from cheating, or simply do not care, and so are and have been supporting bots, gold sellers and fraudulent activities that can sometimes be associated with such behaviors.
The issues that the WoW token solves: “clean(ish) supply” may be a very left leaning compium based mechanism, but it is unlikely that it drastically impacts day to day gameplay for the player base.
RDF is cross-realm, automated group matchmaking and teleporting, which allows easier access to some instances and groups of people from other realms. Additionally, simultaneously mitigates some of the impact to grouping that low population realms have felt due to massive population shifts or declines, while lessening the benefit with regard to dungeon grouping of being on large population realms.
This is not an attempt to say that RDF is good or bad, but simply to state that RDF and WoW tokens are not particularly interesting features to compare and make an argument of one supporting or encouraging the addition of the other.

also- doing low level dungeons to actually learn how to group pve a class/toon/spec and optimize binds and what nots
not having a lowbie dungeon option (or a terribly ineffective one) is a bad play

Seriously blizz… you’ve already literally done every single thing you wouldn’t… all that’s left is RDF. Just give it to us so everyone that stayed can have what they want. The LFG browser is trash and spamming in LFG forever is not a fun experience either.

The so called spirit of classic hasn’t been a thing for a long while, if it ever has been. A few loud people just like to get on here talking about some supposed rules that have been violated, but everyone has a different idea of what should be the rules. Just play, or don’t play, the game. I think it’s been a pretty fun experience and if we get rdf it’ll be even better.
