'That's a Good Trick' maw assault quest issue

As a result of all the changes in the Dragonflight pre-patch, I am trying to complete the maw assault quest ‘That’s a Good Trick’ where u take Lady Moonberry’s wand and shrink enemies with it. After completing it, I am trying to turn it in, but the wand icon keeps hovering over the questgiver and saying invalid target. I am unable to turn it in now and progress in the assault. Is there a way I haven’t heard about to turn that off?

This totally worked for me.

i was able to turn in the quest by putting the item on cooldown, there was a mawrat right next to him if u turn in under the stairs hope this helps

Yeah, the reload UI works, but there’s still the issue of the wand preventing you from interacting with any friendly targets unless it’s on cooldown. It kept me from saving souls or doing basically any other quest at the same time. So I had to do the tea quest, do lady moonberry quest, and then I could do everything else I wanted/needed to do. Super annoying.
