Is there a song that reminds you of WOW?
Used to have friends now Iâve got enemies, except its the other way around. The Hordeliance can never be at war very long. Now were set to fight nâzoth together and go into the shadowlands as one.
Not of WoW specifically, but MMOs of early 2000s in general.
Evanescenceâs Bring me to life
Green Dayâs Blvd of broken dreams
Drowning poolâs Bodies
Disturbedâs Sickness
Linkin Park Hybrid theory
Iâm not too fond of any of those tracks, but they were in so many wow and ffxi videos back when people made things instead of just ranting in to the mic while they level an alt.
If I Could Turn Back Time
I miss how in some of the older expac we fought the âbig badâ but we also fought each other and at most we had some third party that we helped as so we were only teamed up via association with whatever the neutral faction was.
As far as OP, not really a song on the radio but I always get reminded of wow when I hear Owl CIty. Not because Owl City is wow like at all but because I was listen to a new album a lot when I was farming Netherwing and Skyguard rep. Now his music and outlands are forever connected in my mind.
Loser by Beck
Yes and that song is My Humps by the Black Eyed Peas
WACHU GONNA DO WIT ALL DAT JUNK, ALL DAT JUNK INSIDE YO TRUNK???
there was a hunter video, back in vanilla, 2v1 vs a mage/warrior, I think it was
he used My Favorite Game by The Cardigans
canât hear that song w/o thinking of that video
I have songs that i associate with wow because of what i listened to at certain times, but i think for a song to remind me of wow for its own merits itd have to be some kind of obvious parody, because otherwise it would likely be generic enough to fit a million different things
Most of Rob Zombie songs instantly reminds me of wow commonly Demonoid Phenomenon, I assume both him and Ozzy main Undead Warlocks.
Itâs also coincidental the Lead Singer of the Italian Metal Band Lacuna Coil sounds exactly like Sylvanas.
To think about it further, there were numerous heavy metal bands that referenced WoW.
On my druid, Nelly Furtadoâs Iâm like a Bird.
On my DK Disturbedâs Down with the Sickness
On my mage, anything from Frozen, because come on frost is so do you want to build a snowman.
Warrior is Offspringâs Pretty Fly for a White Guy.
Rogue is Stingâs Every Breath You Take.
Blood elves are just toxic, like the Britney song their dance came from.
Thatâs just a few, but generally, I enjoy I mix from the nineties when I am out there leveling.
On the radio? No.
ButâŚ
Back during Legion, I played Starsetâs âVesselsâ album a lot as I did World Quests.
Listening to any song on the album brings me back to those days. Any other songs are already WoW-related.
If youâre blue~
and you donât know~
where to go to~
Why donât you go~
where fashion sits:
Join the horde.
made it 8 second in before I had to turn it off
how can someone ruin a great song like that
Most tracks on Janet Jacksonâs album âDesign of a Decade: 1986-1996â remind me of WoW up through TBC at least.
As for character songs, I found some:
For this toon, Rebecca Platten âFight Songâ
For my NE priest, Taylor Swift âBlank Spaceâ (itâs a stretch, Iâll admit but I havenât found better yet)
For my NE mage, P!nk âJust Like Fireâ
For my Human Warlock, Nelly Furtado âSay It Rightâ
For my NE Rogue, Pat Benatar âShadows of the Nightâ
For my Human DK, SPYAIR âLiarâ (This is a JPOP song, beat fits well with someone who in my background story for her struggles with undeath when risen by Arthas against her will. Song kicks in right after she deals the killing blow in ICC.)
For my NE DH and DK (both are NEs), Alesso âHeroes (we could be)â (Because they are hero classes, they share this song)
For my BE Mage, Lady Gaga âPaparazziâ
For my Worgen Hunter, Duran Duran âHungry Like the Wolfâ
And thatâs just a taste of it. Sometimes a song will just click as I play.
My planned Vulpera Rogue, Sting âDesert Roseâ
Hard to think of specific examples, honestly! Songs that remind me of WoW tend to do so because I listen to them a lot while playing. And in that regard, thereâs a lot.
I used to listen to Thousand Foot Krutch alllll the time when I did any PvP, though, so thatâs a pretty memorable one. Not so much nowadays, but TFK, Set It Off, Falling In Reverse, Hollywood Undead⌠pretty sure teen-me lived off of those bands.
I remember listening to Lilâ Wayneâs âLet it Rockâ while doing AV, so that definitely counts.
