Never put FOMO mogs behind horrendously terrible RNG in a 3-week event again.
I had to level an absurdly excessive number of fresh toons just to get all four cloaks, and it definitely did not help when duplicates dropped. Never do this again. These should’ve always been on the vendor.
While I think they probably should have put leveling gear of some sort on the vendors, end of the day it’s not a big deal because the events were populated enough that missing a few slots that aren’t filled by heirlooms barely matters.
I mean I partially agree. But you could have locked your toons level pre-70.
If they decide to do it again, maybe bump the drop rate and actually let us know that things dropping are completely different from what you buy with currency.
Or yeah, throw it in the vendor as cosmetic unlocks.
I never said it would. I guess I inferred on my part by your wording that, part of the issue was leveling multiple toons (which would become useless afterwards if you just did it for the tmogs).
This why I included the larger more important part.
My partial agreement was simply a mild disagreement in leveling multiple toons.
During the Radiant Echoes event, lowbies get an entirely different set of gear for drops. It’s the Recruits Sturdy set. It changes depending on Horde or Alliance. Everything that drops can be gotten elsewhere, except for the capes and shield.
People keep claiming the off-hand can’t either, but when I received it, I learned no new appearances from it. So I’m still of the mind it exists elsewhere even though people claim it doesn’t. Otherwise, I would have learned a new appearance. And I didn’t have the old, obsolete one Wowhead says it’s from.
