That ONE Loot Drop

You all know the one I’m talking about.

The piece of Loot you’ve been farming since the Raid drops…and them someone you know (A Guildie, A Friend, A Sibling, A Gank-Happy Girlfriend, etc) gets it not only before you…but in a fraction of the time it has taken you.

What was yours?

I’ve been on both ends of this; I was on the Unlucky End with Legion Midnight’s Reins (Girlfriend still gloats about this one. Grrrrrr.)

I was on the lucky end with the Flametalon of Alysrazor (Firelands Heroic Mount) which my brother had been farming since Firelands opened (and was still farming before he quit in 6.2)…and I get it on the first Random Mog Run I do into Firelands ever (I joined proper after he did). And the next week…I got it again.

The crossbow off of Chromaggus, stupid thing just would not drop, all the other hunters in the group knew I wanted it and they all said they would let me have it if/when it dropped. It finally did once and only once… and I lost it to another hunter.

I have 450 tries for the ZG Panther.

One of my best friends got it on his first run through the dungeon; he didn’t even know it had any mounts in it. The kicker? HE ALSO GOT THE RAPTOR MOUNT. In one go. I’m still reeling even though this was back in MoP.

Elementium Reinforced Bulwark from Chromaggus. I started farming it in Cata and it took me …56 weeks to get it to drop.

I went back for the Judgement set after I got the drop with a Pally in Mists and he got it on the second run of BWL. I wasn’t happy.

I say congratulations since it’s a team effort and the only way we can catch up to the EU and Asia groups instead of this me me me attitude.

Everyone hates me because I got Invisible in like 10 total LK kills. I wasn’t even farming for it just transmog weapons.

Taeshalach and the Scythe of the Unmaker.

Not someone I know though, It’s just that I’ve run Antorus so many times and still haven’t gotten either of them. There was this one run, where some guy got both the Scythe of the Unmaker and Taeshalach.
