Hunter here, trying to name my new tamed pets and keep getting “That name contains invalid characters” message. i am not using anything funky or rude. simple english letters. anyone have any input?

I’ve had that, especially on the Exile island. Log out and back and you’ll be able to rename your pet (unless it’s a rare that kept it’s name, then you need a Certificate of Ownership).
