That explains the lack of content

it all makes sense now, they’re too busy cubicle crawling drinking and playing games wtf lol

work on stuff stop harassing people you’re on the clock for your job kthx, company went from people mentally destroying themselves to get diablo 2 shelf-ready for example or the launch of WoW to just goofing off and doing stupid things to get into massive trouble

I just love it when companies have this huge facade about equality and political correctness going on, then stuff like this comes up and it’s all up in smoke.

To a great extent it’s a reflection of bad business practices and the old boy network they have the reputation of having.

That first half about the facade is legit all companies, of course they say that stuff they can’t just say they don’t care or something because that would affect business. And you already know you can expect some generic apology to the community as well.

I just commented on another thread about this like I’m still mind blown at what I just read. Never ever in my life have I heard of conduct like that. Drinking on the job and going cubicle to cubicle getting plastered?

Like seriously, wtf is this? They need to just liquidate all of Blizzard at this point and start new.

They could just not say anything. Nobody would care.

Nobody would care. You might get one manchild with a ton of likes on twitter, but that’s it.

It’s almost as if they did all that equality stuff for money. Hmmm

When they say those things, they honestly believe they are true. They aren’t seeing things as some outsider in a different position might be seeing them.

This company doesn’t deserve its player base. The current management has been riding on the coattails of the creators and the ride is almost over.

If only there was a German based word that perfectly describes pleasure derived by someone from another person’s misfortune, the “person” being a once great company gone to complete sh :poop:t and was uppity & pompous all the way through it.

They drank away our player housing, the bastards!

Generally people who actually represent their views don’t tend to feel the need to loudly signal how much they represent them.

Happens weirdly a lot, yet no one catches on until they’re outed as pests.

I think a ton of people catch on to it, just if you say anything you’re called a bigot and dogpiled on by gullible morons.

No they have to say it, being “friendly” towards LGBT/Minorities/Equal rights all that stuff is good for business. Who do you think would get more customers, the quiet company or the company saying “We are welcoming of people of all genders, ethnicities and sexualities”? I expect every company to fill my ear with that noise and I just tune it out.

It’s not unique to the woke people tbf. People on the right fall prey to the same grifters, just signaling different beliefs.

Anyone who identifies themselves solely off their political beliefs are obnoxious, so I’m inclined to agree.

It might explain the awful direction they took with Sylvanis’ character arc as well.

Clearly they have no idea how to tell a story involving strong female characters, because their office staff apparently doesn’t support women properly in real life.

Maybe this is why so many original devs were leaving?

Wanted to get out before this came public on them?

It would be hilarious to me if Danuser was part of this.

The guy who censored Garrosh based off some virtue signaling BS and continues yammering on about being PC gets named in this case, I’m going to laugh so hard and I promise you, I will never stop mentioning it to disparage the guy every chance I get.

Could be for a few of them, though I’m fairly certain company direction will be the main cause for most of them. Especially the earlier ones that happened around WoD.

This was the most baffling thing to read about the allegations.

It’s the most outlandish thing I’ve ever heard.
