A lot of people describing themselves as casual players seem mad about this but why do or should casual players want to be able to clear the highest level difficulty of delve content on day 1 lol. Isn’t that the opposite of casual?
In a few weeks when casual players get their gear they’ll be fine in the higher tier delves, but the outcry that the highest tier for the best loot of this solo endgame pillar is too hard on day 1, is strange

managed to solo tier 8 bountifuls today on my warrior as prot, wasn’t easy sometimes but i needed bran as my potion dealer
the “hotfix” was already announced for today btw on todays hotfixes…
It already is. Just like high M+ will be next week.
What is annoying is they didn’t have to fix it. Stuff still hit pretty hard and the rezz not counting for deaths just made you plan differently. Not a bad thing, but they decided people were having too much fun.
Ret is fine for Delves.
Some of the other specs are super squish compared to Ret.
Couple of the special mobs like Tela/Vela really hurt, harder than the boss because brand wont effectively tank em, both immune to CC and one is always immune to damage until you kill one of them. I was taking 2 million damage every 2 seconds without exception.
Had to use Bubble, SoV, Divine protection and burst one of them down. I got the second to 1% then died lol. Once one is dead it’s much easier.
Solo delves needed class-based scaling and mechanics similar to old Mage Tower content, and the current dev team is either too lazy or too incompetent to pull that off.

So make it much much harder to progress then? Blizzard added hard minibosses to T8 then realized that was a bad idea so I guess they disagree.
That’s not it AT ALL… the REALITY (despite you want to play the ‘having fun’ game) is that MULTI-PLAYER DELVES LITERALLY WERE NOT SCALING AT ALL. In fact, they were doing the OPPOSITE of what was intended.
If one person walks into a Delve and a boss has 1-million health… which is easier…
One player trying to take down a boss with 1-million health, or FIVE PEOPLE taking down a boss with half-a-million health? Yes, bosses and mobs in multi-player delves actually had LESS health than solo Delves.
Maybe that’s “having fun” to you, but it was NEVER the intention, it was literally a BUG that needed to be fixed.
Now, did they OVERCORRECT the bug? Most likely yes, but how it was was NEVER how it was intended or should have been left at. Sorry if that breaks your “Blizzard detected fun” narrative.

Thats unrealistic. Too many delves+too many specs. Would take 2 raid tiers to do and even then still be bad.
I would argue that it’s supposed to be solo content, not that it’s supposed to be “chill” content.
Content that rewards Heroic Raid loot probably isn’t going to be intentionally “chill” to do while roughly 10-20 ilvl undergeared as most posters talking about Delves are for T8. Or at least were at the beginning of the week.

as per usual for blizz. by then people will have moved on to better, more fun and rewarding games. classic blizz, always so slow to change course and always too late.

People were still getting one shot by mechanics so still took effort.
Who cares about intention when its fun? If its fun, and people enjoy it…and can’t believe I am having to explain this don’t fix it.
Even the argument about people gearing too fast is stupid. Why? Because you have no guarantee to get the gear slot you need. Sometimes you get lucky, but lots of times we get loot we don’t need.
Who, again, cares about intended? Screw that. Seriously. IF people enjoy it, if people are having fun, who cares if its easier then intended? When you make things harder, you solely end up hurting the lower end of the spectrum, the people that don’t have the time or effort to be the try hard type and they tune out of that entire area of the game. Know what happens as that happens? We lose players.

You don’t get heroic gear from a delve at all. You can from a rare drop, and maybe the weekly vault, but not from a delve, even bountiful.

Why is it that you deserve the gear you get, but when other people do work to complete content and get gear, it’s “a free pass to higher tier gear that you can just line up for for free”?

Because they want to no life the game and feel like people that don’t should be happy with scraps blizz gives sometimes.

I think thats not what was being said, they simply don’t want the content to be nerfed into the point of it being trivialized. Many people desire the game to have an authentic challenge vs reward system. If they make something like delves for example that rewards heroic raid tier level gear but offers all the difficulty of a normal dungeon or LFR there would be a problem. It would make the difficulty of the heroic raid make no sense as gearing by delves would be a more efficient choice. When one pillar of content becomes trivialized all pillars are put at jeopardy.

No what they said is it is for solo players , small groups of friends and dungeon groups and this was back when they did the deep dive at Blizzcon 2023
Introducing Delves
Delves are quick adventures for one to five players as a solo experience, with friends, or even as a dungeon group. These adventures are integrated into the outdoor realm as a new endgame pillar alongside dungeons, raids, and PvP. Designed to provide variety, flexibility, and replayability, there are 12 Delves available at launch that take place throughout Khaz Algar in a variety of environments.

This is already the case with M+, as +7s offer both infinitely farmable hero track loot, and are easier to organize and complete.
The Vault is inherently part of the Delve gearing experience. It is Heroic Loot on a lockout. (And, as you said, the rare drops on top of that).
